This is gross. party 4 u is perfectly fine, untouched. I may not be a mega fan of it, and it's far from my favorite Charli song. Yet I believe in an ideal world, it would stay untouched, and should have been untouched. But no, the Chainsmokers turned it into something forgettable, bland, and extremely blasé. Look, I'm a fan of Red Velvet since I've started to listen to K-pop and took the genre more seriously as a whole last summer. Honestly, this is not that bad. I don't hate it, in fact I kinda enjoy it. I like the instrumentation (which in my opinion is like BLACKPINK circa 2017 but done a bit better), I like HYO's verse, the pre-chorus and the breakdown, and the chorus is very catchy, even if it's just the word dessert repeated and spliced.
