I Love My Mom, on re-listen, is better than before, as Indigo De Souza's mixing on this album is heavy and thick which ties the whole album together as one cohesive piece, which not a lot of albums do now, and I can see this now, and not on first listen, because I got new headphones...
My top song on this album constantly shifts as all of them are at least a 9/10 for me.
it's just so peak, and I recommend it to everyone who likes music.
The four track run at the start of the album is genuinely ethereal and had me levitating off of my seat, the rest of the album is really good, but doesn't reaches the highs of, 'If I Leave', or 'Wheres My Phone' until 'Lightning' which might be my top song on the album i'm gonna be so fr.
Overall a solid album where each of the songs are different from each other, and still somehow all scream "Mitski Made This!"
This album is genuinely the exact mood I need in my life when I'm just doing stuff, its the perfect soundtrack.
Just Like Honey, a cover as the first track was really cool as someone who likes the original song quite a lot.
My personal favorite on the album is definitely Diu x 3, I just really love the poly-rhythms and mixing they use.
I started listening to this album while driving to get a coffee and actually pulled over to turn it off because it was HIGH-KEY pissing me off, but then I started enjoying the few songs that I listened to, and decided, "fuck it" and listened to the entire thing, and its a good album.
Some of the songs still piss me off but other than that I enjoyed my limited time with it.
