drone, heavy guitars, haunting vocals. those elements form a solid album within its genre. more than sometimes it fails to impress and feels like a filler, despite its shortness
nice fusion between electronic music and some sort of post-rock. quite enjoyable, but nothing that doesn't let you away from it.
the first beck album i listened to, and... i'm not happy. i can't even write more than that it sounded plain and repetetive..
without wanting to be mean, this is pretty forgetable. not even the sweet falsett voice brings me back to this record. the album cover is great though.
solid production, brilliant lyrics and some simple guitar work make this record what it is. the song 'i love you dad' made my life better, thanks for that. but overall it failed to touch me completly, and i think that is what the album aims to.
i see why many people are disappointed by this record, DC was heavier, grew more. but outside of that, this is a solid record which sometimes fails to reach its peaks.
refreshing beats, i see inspiration taken from flying lotus. it really feels like one piece of music, consistent, tracks flow nice into each other.
