First relisten after two years and now I actually get it, at least partialy. While the album still doesn't make me roll my eyes back with Exception of "Only Shallow" and "When You Sleep" (which I actually always loved), I find it quite charming. Its far from my first experience, when I admit it was a tiring listen for the major part, but it was a long time ago, so anyway. I think that those rusty and lushy guitars just living their own life over soft and dreamy "noise" are really cool. It doesn't work out for me every single time, but when it does, its amaaaazing. So of course I liked the more noise oriented songs.
I actually might be coming back to it from time to time.

I wonder If you'd enjoy Souvlaki by Slowdive a bit more? It's a more palatable listen imo and is much easier to connect to on first listen unlike Loveless.
