A collection of some fun songs but then that’s about it nothing greater than that, Still an enjoyable and electric listen just wish there was a lil more
A dreamy whimsy synth pop goth record?! Yes, yes, yes! For an hour long project this album flew by. The vocals are sooo sweet (probably some of my fav) and the production is so beautiful, chaotic and addictive I feel like I pick up on a new thing every listen. Mix in the sweet vocals and peak production then you get a perfect album cause this SLAPS
A soothing hiphop album with fantastic lofi production, good enough rapping and some standout writing about self reflection. This album was vulnerable, honest and relatable to almost anyone as it tackles unhealthy coping mechanisms (or distractions?) through sex, partying and alcohol. While also diving into personal struggles of selfworth and discovering a reason for life and/or passion
The closing track, ‘I just need an early night’ is honestly maybe one of my favorite hip-hop ... read more
Sweet, intimate and honestly quite heavenly (thanks to Kali’s voice)
Feel like I’m swimming around in a cocktail while listening to this
I genuinely don’t know what the hell i just listened to I don’t think I’ll ever find anything as surreal as this
I did not know miku slapped this hard 😭😭😭
The transition from Missouri to Los Angeles and the highs and lows of emotions that come with.
Chappell takes you on this journey of self-discovery and the freedom of moving to a big city can bring, but the homesickness that can follow (with the song ‘California’).
I interpret the first couple of songs (first four) on this album as her repressing her sexuality and wondering why her relationships with men don’t feel fulfilling (with ‘Femininomenon’), with her ... read more
This EP was so ahead of its time 😭 Are we sure that Charli isn’t a time traveler on coke. SOPHIE’s production is genuinely insane
Only problem for me was that some of the features were a bit blegh on a couple of songs other than that this album is perfect
This album was made in only 6 weeks?! If brat didn’t then this quarantine LP certainly proves that Charli xcx is a generational artist
How I’m feeling now is a perfect mix of hyperpop and Charli writing about her own mental health from depression to love to anxiety
This D.I.Y project (you could say) also proves how innovating Charli is. This album WILL easily hold up in the next 50 years.
Honestly, I think this is the first chamber pop album I’ve listened to, and it was a great experience. Porcelain Hearts takes you on this fantastical journey with its willowy (might be the wrong description…) vocals and grandiose fairytale like production. The only problem for me was the vocals felt a bit much at times and at least two tracks were quite frankly boring but other than that this was a great debut by Porcelain Hearts.
The ambience of this album mixed with the dreamy soft vocals of Ichiko Aoba and the almost aquatic production put you in this bubble that submerges you underwater into a peaceful 35-minute current through the ocean that makes you escape from reality and longingly wish for an innocent life free from the confines of the real world. So if you want that escapism give this fantastic album a listen
Also Riko Amanai owns this album
Definitely mbv’s weakest EP but it’s still a cut above some of the other music I listen to
I like this distorted messy gem of music
I genuinely cannot put it into words how some of the instrumentals on this album sound. They have such an ethereal and hazy yet lucid feel that’s entirely different than every other shoegaze or dream pop album I’ve listened to. They genuinely make me feel like I’m floating within the clouds.
Enjoyable but really wished she leaned more into the dance pop elements on some songs but she reverts to sounding like every other pop artist
