It's overall not terrible, but feels a bit bland compared to a lot of Lexie Liu's other works. It's not really experimental in any way, and doesn't have the changing of languages that her other songs have, with all of these tracks being in English (which isn't inherently a bad thing, but does take some of the uniqueness out of it for me). Still, the songs themselves are decently fun pop tracks that are still somewhat enjoyable to listen to.

There's a stronger sense of grief and tranquility here that in other Mitski works (caused by the more acoustic soundscape I believe) that I greatly appreciate. I also really enjoyed the jazzy elements present in some songs, since that feels like a really refreshing new direction for her. The songwriting is really striking as always, and the somberness of Mitski's vocals really ties the whole thing together, also like always. Overall, this is a very solid and sad experience.

I'm so incredibly happy to see Gorillaz finally return to their unconventional roots again. After how mediocre Cracker Island turned out to be, this one practically made me jump with joy. I wouldn't call this album the best thing they've made by any means, but this is definitely one of their most solid and fulfilling projects so far. So many great & groovy tracks that I will absolutely be returning to -- it really feels similar to their older work again.

The production quality is quite great and the lyricism is clever, but outside of those elements it's just a bit uninteresting to me. There are memorable songs here and there, but there are definitely a few tracks that just kind of blend together and don't really make an impact (the songs all basically being about the same subject doesn't really help with this). However, I would still say that for enjoyers of this genre, this is still a decently fun listening experience, even if ... read more
I might be affected by my general dislike towards house music, but I really can't bring myself to love this. There's certainly some improvement since Joanne, and I like the fact that there's some change in her sound, but some of these songs just feel really random to me -- it's like they don't really have anything "Gaga" about them, if that makes sense? Still, there are a few better tracks here and there that I do enjoy a fair amount, but I wouldn't say ... read more
Oh how I miss this style of DECO*27's work every day...
Many bangers here, and I love the rougher style of the production that you don't really see from him these days. Miku's tuning is obviously great, no notes there, and lyrically this includes some of my favourite stuff DECO*27 has written. I would still call the first half a tad bit stronger than the second however, as many of the later tracks just kind of blended together a bit for me. Still, I would call this a very solid ... read more
It's beautifully serene, and evokes that same feeling of calm that other Ichiko Aoba projects also have. Though I wouldn't call it outstanding by any means, I still enjoyed many aspects of this. Some songs could've maybe been a bit shorter, or maybe my attention span is just fried, who even knows at this point anymore.
Favourite songs: いきのこり●ぼくら, 機械仕掛乃宇宙
Most of these songs are nothingburgers that don't really make me feel anything, but I suppose that means that they're not exactly terrible either. I don't know the full context behind this sudden shift in sound for Gaga, but I certainly hope it doesn't happen again. A lot of these tracks also feel a bit disconnected from each other as well, which makes the tracklist feel a bit incoherent. Otherwise, I suppose it is fine.

Listening to this made me realize how much PinocchioP's more recent songs lack the spunk that his older work has. Overall, this album is pretty great! I love the energetic production in these songs, and while I haven't checked out any translations yet, I would be willing to bet that the lyricism has that signature introspectiveness to it that I really admire in PinocchioP's work. However, it still suffers from the same problem as most of his other albums, which is that these ... read more
It's quite fun, though the first half is much more solid than the second. Still, I would go as far as to say that in terms of Gaga's discography, this is quite underappreciated. These beats are so delicious, and the energy is palpable.
Favourite songs: Aura, G.U.Y, ARTPOP, Applause
It's just great, really. I love the slight shift in sound from Depeche Mode's earlier work, as it feels quite refreshing, even though you can still very much recognize the same style. Many bangers here, particularly in the first half -- overall, it's just a very neat package.
Favourite songs: Barrel of a Gun, It's No Good, Useless, Sister of Night
First time listening to a full project from Ado, and it's... fine. Her voice is gorgeous and has a lot of potential, but most of these songs are just kind of bland. There is also quite a big sense of disconnection between them, as it often feels like the producer dictates the sound a bit too heavily from song to song, making it so that there is not really any distinct sense of style. Still, the songs themselves are mostly not terrible, and there are a few tracks here and there that I do ... read more
It's definitely some of the most solid stuff I've heard from her so far. There seems to be a bigger variation in styles than in her previous records, and the lyrics overall feel very genuine and the sound is very pleasant.
Favourite songs: Your Blood, Earthly Delights, Starvation, My Body Is Not Mine
This is like therapy music haha. I love how gentle and ethereal this feels, similarly to other things I've heard from Ichiko Aoba so far. Again however, this is not the kind of project I could see myself casually listening to.
Favourite songs: Dawn in the Adan, Sagu Palm's Song
While it is not as egregious as some of her other work, it is still just very bland and has very few memorable elements in it. At least the instrumentals do show a bit of improvement, but every other aspect remains pretty much just as dislikeable as her previous records.
Favourite songs: Strange Fiction
Well, I can certainly understand why people regard it so highly now. The production quality is IMMCAULATE, it is like a massage for your ears. The sound feels like it transcends time, and everything about it just comes together really well. Not much I can say that hundreds haven't probably already said, but I highly recommend this as a listening experience.
