Unusual and unexpected for me, I rate this soundtrack as I experienced it in game, not as the music by itself. By itself, I would give it a 90, but with the games visuals in mind, and easy 100. The violin mixed in brings sadness, excitement, and a lust for exploration and the new. Some tracks convey surface level emotions, while others put you into a deep and somber rest. Its truly a beautiful set of music made by one an extremely talented person.
Its the perfect jazz fusion album in existence. It does not get better than this. Takanaka can rock a guitar like no other.
If aliens visited Earth in an attempt to enslave the human race, the only thing to send them back would be this exact album.
To be able to sing about sad and hard topics to an upbeat tune and composition that makes you want to dance is something I have never seen done before. Its flow is amazing
Its a harmful symphony that makes you peacefully fall asleep, in a good way. Its slower paced songs bring a wanted peace and relaxation, and its more upbeat songs make you want to get up and dance. It simple, its good.
YES LAWD!
Anderson .Paaks previous albums were amazing and worked very well. With Malibu and Oxnard, it was obvious he was destined for greatness. But no one expected him to create something so pleasing to the ears and beautiful that it just makes you want to sit in your car and smoke a sig. The album perfectly blends slow songs, and fast paced rap. Its features are amazing, and it never disappoints.
Its silky, it's smooth, and its a damn groove. Bruno Mars' and Anderson Paak's vocals match perfectly into a perfect blend that soothes your ears. The features are amazing, and the instrumental's are even better.
