I went into this album hoping it wasn't as bad as people were making it out to be... unfortunately, it is as bad as people are making it out to be. It starts off somewhat strong with songs like the title track, but it completely falls apart from Local God onwards.

Uboa - The Origin of My Depression

From both a musical and lyrical standpoint, this album is incredible, but I don't think I am ever going to listen to this again. This album is easily one of the most harrowing experiences that music has to offer, but it is truly a masterpiece in every sense of the word.

Jack White - Entering Heaven Alive

When I heard Jack White was releasing an entirely acoustic album this year, alongside the fantastic Fear of the Dawn, I was excited; I've always thought that the more stripped-back songs are some of his best, from his early work with songs like We're Going To Be Friends, to his newer work, with many songs off of Blunderbuss being highlights of his career.

Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate

I love Leonard Cohen. His entire catalogue of music is incredible (barring a couple duds) and his poetry is excellent as well. However, with everything that he was able to do in his career, I believe he peaked with this album.
