ever since i started to learn and get into sound design, i've been venturing into more riddim / dubstep albums and this might the cherry on top of what is riddim and dubstep for me. beastboi's "neo" dubstep sound is so addicting that the whole riddim genre has just grown on me after listening to this
the opener is my personal favorite of this entire album for me. the buildup to the chaos at the drop is just perfect and honestly gives me so much inspo for what i want to ... read more
From FIFA videos to making a multi-genre masterpiece.
Quadeca has consistently proved himself over the years to be one of the best artists not only in the YouTube rap scene but also in ALL of the rap scene. From starting out collabing with Dax on projects like "Voice Memos" to making amazing introspective and conceptual albums like "From Me To You" and "I Didn't Mean To Haunt You" to his amazing mixtape "SCRAPYARD," Vanisher is the complete ... read more
The most genre-bending electronic record of all time. Unpredictability: The Album
Floral Strobe is such an important album to me and my music taste as a whole. I mean, even before listening to this album, I listened to Shiver, and that completely blew my mind.
This album's sound varies so much from so many genres that you can imagine yourself in different soundscapes. The sound choices are so amazing as well and even genre-defying. You couldn't even classify this as a specific genre ... read more
One of my favorite songs from the album, but it's extended???
The atmosphere Asian Glow pulls is just unmatched and honestly might be better than the winter song from the album. It genuinely feels like you are tearing through a winter storm inch by inch in one huge montage. It gives triumph and motivation but as a song.
But besides that. My only problem with it is just how confusing it is that its labeled as an EP while it's just an extension.
I hope we continue to get more ... read more
fun rage record but gets too abrasive at times with unnecessary beat switches which could of been fleshed out into different songs or cut completely

Egotrip: A Huge Breath Of Fresh Air
John Michel & Anthony James join forces to make one of the best rap albums of this entire decade. The soul and chipmunk soul production throughout this entire project do a justice to the previous predecessors of this genre. It feels like I am listening to ATCQ record mixed with The College Dropout.
John's lyrical delivery compliments the beautiful production with his amazing flows creating a synergy where both elements of this album shine ... read more
"I think back to those-those times, which now seem so distant, like they were over a decade ago
and, like, I'm just so happy now, like all the fucking time because like, I know what it's like to be sad,"
WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT
When I originally reviewed Lucas' past project "Where Did The Moon Go?", I had some complaints about the production and mainly the lyrics on the project. On this new project,"18" serves as what I wanted his previous work to be and it's amazing to see Lucas develop as a musician throughout this album.
Adding elements from different genres with amazing influences, songs like "betrayal", i'lll carry on and outro standout amongst ... read more

"A hypochondriac, I think of you blood pressure spikes."
Back during my hyperpop phase, I really never found brakence interesting or bothered to listen to his previous projects like punk2 and the old eps, in fact the first song I heard by him I hated but eventually I would get around to listening to this project and over time everything changed.
On the first listen, nothing stuck with me. I found songs like bugging! and 5g annoying and never really understood the lyrics on these ... read more
you can tell he was still trying new things with the production and even tho it all didn't work out with every song, the songs that do work well with the production REALLY hit hard
WELCOME BACK GOAT MOUNTAIN!!!
"October country, where the river runneth red
Fireside, singing hymns of the dead"
Ghost Mountain FINALLY has released his debut mixtape.
The production is otherworldly, with HEAVY influence from the originators of the witch house scene, "Damien" being the best example of this sounding completely like a Salem track. But what makes him different from other HM members, is that simply, he's just more cohesive.
The vocals on this project ... read more
