Just saw these guys live recently and it was nothing short of stunning. I also realized I hadn't rated this despite it being my favorite record of 2024 so I'm remedying that now. It's not often that an album comes around that just feels like a revelation, but I think this is one of those cases for me. I love how almost every song is only tangentially related to the narrated story, and half of them have these sudden shifts from the actual story to "I'm worried my wife is going to leave me soon."

I would love to have a studio version of The Wall with all the extended bits that they did here, but were cut for time on the original album. Things like What Shall We Do Now, the extra verse in The Show Must Go On, the extended intro to In The Flesh, etc. I think especially being in the streaming age and with the recent rereleases of some of their albums, I think they should release the sort of director's cut.
