Jai Paul - Leak 04-13 (Bait Ones)
97

This is so ahead of it's time and it has spawned a sound that still feels so fresh now. It could be a 10 if it wasn't unfinished. Jai Paul we love you dude.

The Femcels - I Have To Get Hotter
42

This album has made me realise that I am grown up and no longer so online. I wish I could find this funny or cool but my god is it so obnoxious, all the spoken word passages on this thing like I get the personality and character side of the music but it was so jarring. Some songs are really good though.

Vince Staples - Cry Baby
68

I lowkey got a bit bored by the last 4 tracks, when this is upbeat and punk it's pretty good but when it slows down I don't think Vince is saying enough to keep me going. I guess wish it went a bit deeper in with it's sound and lyrics.

Westside Gunn - FLYGOD
93

I mean an album so consistently full of gritty bangers has to be rated highly. Really impressive work from Westside Gunn.

phreshboyswag - VIP
68

This one feels a bit more incomplete and too submerged in its own sound but I still like a lot of the tracks on this.

phreshboyswag - rock bottom
82

This is actually so hypnotic. Phreshboyswag makes his music feel like the packet he's on. Crazy.

This Is Lorelei - Box For Buddy, Box For Star
84

Really cool genre showcasing on this album, felt like he tapped into every popular Indie sound of the time and he did a pretty good job at covering all the bases. A fun little album.

Freddie Gibbs - RBT
71

3 very personal tracks from Freddie.

Paul McCartney & Linda McCartney - Ram
94

That was brilliant, a lot of eccentric vocals and hard hitting instrumentation makes this a very quirky and fun listen. It doesn't necessarily take itself too serious and that just makes everything on here pop bright with colour a bit more. Lovely album.

Boards of Canada - Inferno
75

Boards Of Canada are back at last, I don't think this is some of their best stuff however I really like the lust for life feel this album has. It does feel modern and fresh however I don't think this album does too much outside of BOC's comfort zone. Just so happy to have been here 13 years later for another BOC album.

Kim Petras - Detour
76

Much better work here from Kim Petras, the Frost Children production here really brings the best out of her and if she continues in this way she could make some seriously impressive stuff.

Also I really like Brutalist, I really love the concept behind that song it really resonated with me. One of my favourite songs from the year.

Westside Gunn - Hitler Wears Hermes 2
76

Fair few bangers in the mix here.

feeble little horse - bitknot
68

A bit dissapointed by this album unfortunately. I don't think this batch of tracks hits as hard in comparison to previous work from them. Nothing sounded bad on here just a bit underwhelming which again is a shame.

Bleachers - everyone for ten minutes
54

The singles were actually pretty good but that stretch on the second half of the album my god was it boring as shit.

drug bug - Hell for a Basement
79

Reminds me of the My New Band Believe debut album, some nice stuff I like the structure of this album quite unique.

feeble little horse - Hayday
80

Very nice stuff, I love this band.

Best Coast - Crazy for You
88

It's boiling outside and perfect for this album.

Bladee - Sulfur Surfer
78

Another solid effort from Bladee, I don't think this is much different from Cold Visions however it did a good job at keeping me entertained throughout. No one else has anything to say stop making music now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fakemink - Terrified .
71

There is just enough on here to make it a good album, some tracks are really boring though.

JPEGMAFIA - EXPERIMENTAL RAP
38

Same goober flow with either super overdone production or too minimal production. Peggy can't find the line between coherency and messy. Also I will never forgive Peggy for showing up an hour late to his gig in Brighton and then leaving 15 minutes early.

On Angine de Poitrine - Vol.II
"@CAWafflez i personally believe it's boring, the album isn't original in it's Microtonal approach and isn't bringing anything new or high quality to the table. it is a very technical album which is cool i get why people like it but it's nothing that stands out to me as wow, it comes off more as just guitar wank to me."

"@sleepless i do fw rage music however I acknowledge im not necessarily the deepest connoisseur of the genre so I will give those projects a listen i appreciate the suggestions. i do find it very ironic though that you have suggested me 2 very well received projects on this site and critiqued me for only listening to "acceptable" rage music on this website. i apologise for not finding every album in the genre good considering there are a lot of artists in the genre who do make music that i dont like, just like every genre."
On Che - REST IN BASS
"@sleepless lyfe by yeat, music by carti, rebel by esdeekid (bit more rage adjacent but defo has rage beats throughout the project), also i think a great chaos by ken carson has some good tracks on it."

"@sleepless at least jane remover creates a decent melody, che struggles to get through a track plus the production on revengeseekerz is much more dynamic, varied and earwormy. this is just a bang average rage project, i like rage as a genre? not sure what your point is."
