wow.. one of my biggest criticisms of this album used to be that its consistent in terms of track placing and this album seemed all over the place but as ive listened to it again i realized that that's the point. the way the tracks all contribute to the overall storytelling of the album was really cool, she even managed to tie in a song about black liberation to her situation with her husband. i used to be one of those people who didn't get why people loved this album so much but im glad that's not the case anymore.
