slightly better than the original, but i had the same problem where i got bored during the last 3 tracks. still don't like "midnight sun" that remix did not help, "blue moon" was whatever. "pretty girls" had potential but that chorus is awful JT did great tho. didn't care for the shakira feature in fact it felt a little out of place along with the emilia feature. the rest of the songs were decent.
favorite tracks: crush, hot & sexy.
i wanted to be different and say that i liked "mercurial world" over "imaginal disk"but that just wasn't the case. that being said, i still really enjoyed this album; it's more laidback but just as hypnotic (maybe even more). genuinely feels like synthpop perfection.
favorite tracks: secrets (your fire), you lose, chaeri, domino.
slightly long but the songs are so captivating and groovy it doesn't even matter!
favorite tracks: spotlight, soul control, adore you.
the song is catchy and her vocals are nice but the instrumental is kind of boring and i don’t like the lyrics /:
this was a cute album but i think she played it a little safe. based off the singles i thought she would get more quirky with it but most of the songs are regular synthpop songs (not derogatory). i thought we would get another song that's as weird as "sexistential."
favorite tracks: sucker for love, it don't mean a thing, sexistential.
me: you better not be AOTY when i get there

this was my most anticipated album of the year, and for a little bit i felt the momentum dying. the album rollout was so long that for a while, my expectations for the album dropped. oh but when it finally came out i was so happy. it's gritty, it's loud with this mix of electronic, industrial, and europop. one minute she's a party girl who gets gay off that tequila, and the next she's telling us how she was left at ... read more
i think what's carrying this album is ari lennox's vocals. she has a great voice, and i love her delivery on the songs it kind of reminds me of rochelle jordan's, in the sense that they both sound cool and confident. the problem is the sound, after a while it gets too repetitive, especially since the album is 15 tracks long. the lyrics are also pretty underwhelming, especially with that chatgpt line.
favorite tracks: mobbin in dc, twin flame, horoscope.
this was fun! i've never really paid attention to underscores but after this i'll definitely check out her other stuff. it's dun and danceable but also intimate and romantic which i wasn't expecting. i really liked the more romantic songs like "lovefield" and "innuendo (i get u)" she takes a more subtle approach with those songs while also having some more hard hitting instrumentals sprinkled in.
favorite tracks: innuendo (i get u), lovefield, do it, ... read more
this soundtrack sounds sooo of it’s time with the emo sound. i probably would’ve liked this a lot when i was 14. it fits really well with the movie tho, whoever chose the songs for the soundtrack did a great job.
favorite tracks: kiss with a fist, new perspective, im not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you.
this was my first mitski project and i enjoyed a lot, especially her lyricism. some standouts are "in a lake," "if i leave" and "dead women." i especially loved "dead women" so hauntingly beautiful. my only criticism is that her voice is a little monotone at times, and i feel like some songs could've been more fleshed out.
favorite tracks: dead women, instead of here, i'll change for you.
i feel really bad for dancing to some of these songs because she'll be talking about how children are an oppressed class and i'm like this: 💃🎶. "rhythm nation" takes a more industrial sound compared to control and it works so well with her. this album is definitely up there with "the velvet rope." i just wish she didn't end the album with 4 slow r&b tracks, especially since the album started off with so much momentum.
favorite tracks: rhythm ... read more
she's 2/2 of the albums i've listened to. i definitely prefer the more dance/house songs over the r&b ones, but there's no bad song on here.
favorite tracks: love you good, got em, broken steel, dancing elephants.
he’s got a great voice, it’s a shame he doesn’t make more interesting/captivating music.
favorite tracks: risk it all, i just might.
girl im so bored let's never release music ❤️
i never really thought blackpink released the best music but i did like a song or two. i saw that they were working with different producers so i decided to check it out and it was not good. "jump" was pretty decent i liked the beat, the verses were whatever tho. "go" was also decent but the last 3 tracks were so bad. "me and my" sounds way too try hard. "champion" has a boring guitar instrumental ... read more
this was the first baby keem project i ever listened to and i liked it way more than i expected. the album has no direction sonically and while that usually bugs me i think the song quality makes up for it. he states that he's not a lyricist and while i slightly agree i will say that he does a great job of conveying emotions. this is especially true on the closing track "no blame" where he lays out the relationship with his mother. there were also more light-hearted tracks like ... read more
it’s a cute and catchy song but i feel like bruno has done with a million times before. i need him to break out of his comfort zone.
there’s nothing interesting about this album unfortunately. it’s generic at times and when there is experimentation it falls flat. i kind of wished she knew what her sound was because i kind of liked her ep but this album was whatever.
favorite tracks: burning up, sunrise, heaven.
this is a nice 80s/90s inspired pop album but not everything pans out for me. i didn’t like some of her vocal inflections, i think her voice is a bit of an acquired taste.
favorite tracks: the beginning of the end, set me free, be the girl.
idk what it is but i can’t really connect with this album the way i do other charli albums. i think i was slightly disappointed that the whole album didn’t sound more like the singles with the gothic/orchestral sound. i thought that was a cool sound for charli. there’s some really good tracks on here and some im whatever about. the closer was great tho, it felt very björk-coded with the orchestral instrumental and the random deconstructed club section. not sure why she ... read more
