love how dynamic and fun this album is. she really played around with different styles and for the most part it worked! the album does feel a bit all over the place at times. the only song i didn’t like was “ms.pacman” but i do appreciate her trying to do something new, i just didn’t like the delivery.
favorite tracks: come and find you, a bug’s life, nature of power, my type.
i really liked “autopoeitica” so i was excited to listen to “femme fatale.” i really liked how cohesive this album was, i loved the jazz/1950s sound it goes really well with her. amazing vocals as always, so much emotion. the only song i didn’t really like was “mi hombre” mostly because of the lyrical content but i do understand why she put it in the album and how it ties into the theme of the album.

wow this album is very beautiful especially with the closing track and how the themes of the album all tie into each other. genuinely regret not listening to this album earlier. pretty instrumentation, great rapping, good features for the most part and a story that is explored throughout the album.
favorite tracks: run run run pt.II, F.F.O.L, listen gentle, could’ve been different.
this was my first time listening to a project by chance the rapper so i came in with no expectations. tbh is album isn’t bad but it would’ve be so much better if he didn’t have some annoying hooks (“gun in yo purse” or “trees” for example) and cut out the middle section. the songs in the middle are pretty forgettable and don’t add much. he’s at his best when he is introspective and doing a more neo soul/jazz rap sound.

very pretty, didn't like this mixtape as much as the first one but it's still good.
favorite tracks: live 4ever, sky2fall, hideaway.
i heard a few of the deep’s singles before this album came out which is why i was surprised she went the edm route for her debut album. from what i heard she did the electro pop/synth pop sound. anyway, im not a huge edm person but this was good. kind of inconsistent in terms of quality some songs are great while there’s some that are ok.
favorite tracks: i hate silence, solo, birthday.
there was some really cool beats on here that i really enjoyed. there were also some overbearing moments but nothing drastic.
favorite tracks: #skyrocket, catalyst, see you soon!
this was fun! they even got a little latina with it on “how to teleport.”
favorite tracks: flash in a pan, how to teleport.
this was a weird album to rate because i do think jid’s rapping and wordplay was great but i feel like he was trying to do too many things at once with this album. it’s because of this that it feels more like a playlist than an album. as a whole, it’s fine. there’s some great tracks and some more meh tracks with alright production.
favorite tracks: Gz, no boo, on McAfee.
popular to contrary belief, i actually don’t mind her voice. this album was … ok. it’s nothing terribly offensive but i also don’t see me coming back to it as a whole. anything past “it’s ok, im ok” is pretty forgettable tbh… i can see her improving and actually making a good body of work if she relied less on ryan tedder and branched out to other producers/writers. she is best suited when she does 2000s inspired songs like “sports ... read more
this album is really pretty. while there are some really great moments (like the first two tracks) there are some meh moments especially with the more slower songs.
favorite tracks: it’s a mirror, no front teeth, full on.
i feel like this is the type of song i don’t like but it’s so catchy and fun.
first i'll start off with the positives... i think the production is great! when it comes to the weeknd, it's almost guaranteed that the production will be good. there's plenty of good songs, whether it's synthpop, r&b, or hip hop with good production. overall, i enjoyed most of the melodies and abel's tone is as pretty as always.
as for the negatives... this album is way too long and there was no reason for this to be 20 songs long (interludes excluded). even if ... read more
this album was ok! i think a lot of their lyrics are very juvenile and i would be able to look past it if they weren’t like 30 and if the music was better. the lyrics are whatever at best and corny at worst. the music itself is fine, wasn’t something i was super into but not bad.
favorite tracks: CPR, davina mccall, pokemon.
when the track list dropped i wondered how cardi was going to keep her audience engaged with a 23 track album. safe to say she cannot make a cohesive, engaging 23 track album. some of the tracks sound outdated with is crazy considering she’s been working on this for the past 7 years…. she still presents the same problems she had on her debut which is annoying and/or overly long hooks. some of these songs could’ve been a lot better if she had just cut down the song to two ... read more
i really wanted to like this but after 3 listens it just wasn’t clicking with me. i actually think the project is fine but my main problem is jane. i don’t like their delivery on the majority of the album, they do this weird mix of singing and shouting that really throws me off. another issue i had is that i felt that a good amount of songs dragged on.
favorite tracks: twice removed, dreamflasher, dancing with your eyes closed.
forgot how hard this song is.. if only it was shortened a little.
this album is pretty much a mixed bag. there are some good songs like “kiss it kiss it” and “good girl” but then there’s times where i feel like she’s trying to be camp and it comes off disney-esque like on “at least im hot” and “you’d like that wouldn’t you.” lyrically she hasn’t improved from “snow angel”…she has some odd lyrics in “snow angel” but the lyrics on this album are worse ... read more
