thinking about how someone said based off the cover she'll probably bring up feminist issues LMAOO... anyway, i have never been a big fan of sabrina's music, i like a few songs and that's about it. i came into this album hoping it would change my mind but unfortunately, that didn't happen. the country-pop stuff just doesn't suit her; it's almost always uninspired and derivative. this was another case of trying different things sonically, and it sounded messy and ... read more
for the longest time i was a tidal > when the pawn truther but after re-listening to both i realized why when the pawn is the more loved album. when the pawn expands and further develops what fiona did on tidal. consistent songwriting, raw emotions, and the build-ups showed what fiona is truly capable of.

this was my first clipse album and i can't believe i didn't get into them sooner. the production is so well done with fun and at times explosive beats i think my favorite beat was "so be it." i felt like the beats really complemented pusha t and malice. the beginning of the album starts off with a great 5-track run. i also love how pusha t and malice bounce off each other, never leaving any empty space, while i did enjoy malice's rap performances more, i still think ... read more
i was excited to listen to this album because i liked what she did on lesserafim's "antifragile." overall, i thought it was good i really liked the more upbeat/electronic songs. i didn't really enjoy the slower/more vocal-heavy songs like "pill" or the trap stuff she did on "vip."
favorite tracks: puchica, vanity, bling
i came into this album without hearing any of the singles and trying not to compare it to fountain baby. i think its a fun dance album but it also kind of doesnt do much for me. i've seen polarizing opinions and while i dont love it, i also dont hate it. in terms of lyrics, shes mostly saying nothing but i dont mind because thats kind of the point. there are times where i feel like she does try to do too many things at once and it ends up sounding messy. the cher sample in "she is my ... read more
first time listening to destin conrad and this is such a nice summer album. i love when he leans into the contemporary r&b/neo soul sounds rather than some of the r&b/pop stuff especially because his vocals are so stunning and smooth. the features were overall good, except for the lil nas x verse i feel like it added nothing. the album almost overstayed its welcome but its mostly because of the interludes.
favorite tracks: kissing in public, mr. e, fmu!
the first seven songs of the album are solid but the last three don't particularly click with me. i also think the last three aren't consistent with the rest of the album as the album is supposed to be danceable and the last three tracks are slower tempo. they're still good songs but they don't necessarily go with the rest of the album and align more with tyler's previous work like flower boy. besides the inconsistency, i still think the album is pretty solid and it was ... read more
i remember when this album was announced, i thought this is about to be the most 75-sounding album and i was right! i appreciate her working with a new producer, i did really like the small quirks and details in the production. i love how her emotions are conveyed throughout the songs especially in "man of the year" and "david." i think the reason this album couldn't be rated higher is just the fact that i feel like album could be a little more fleshed out, especially ... read more
very groovy unfortunately it’s way too long, he could’ve cut down a few songs and some of the features are meh.
favorite tracks: spit it out, video, witchy.
mean girls is absolutely bad i don’t normally skip songs even if i dislike it but i couldn’t get through it. there is definitely potential but the music falls flat most of the time.
favorite track: gabriela
the chorus is giving sour, bitter, pour it up, kira heaven, lemon, sugar-free venom.
the way she quite literally turned 19 in poland when she released this…. really love the more jazz elements of this project.
favorite tracks: sleep to dream, shadowboxer, the first taste.
very pretty and soothing :’)
favorite tracks: killing me softly, jesse, river.
seeing that cardi announced that she will finally be dropping her sophomore album today, i decided to finally listen to this album. i definitely don't think its horrendous the way others do, but i also dont think its as great as critics say. one of my main complaints is the hooks/choruses throughout the album. the hooks are either super repetitive or get annoying quckly. like on "bartier cardi" i think she could've shortened the song instead of repeating the chorus over and ... read more
i think this album is just fine. i appreciate kendrick trying out different things and stepping out of his comfort zone in terms of production but some of it doesn’t always pan out. it’s also a little inconsistent.
favorite track: element, love, xxx.
this album is fun! her songwriting is super playful here, kind of wished she was consistent and kept it fully pop/r&b instead of adding ballads but the ballads are good so im fine with it. she’s just super funny on this album like with “up out my face” where she says “if we were two lego blocks even the harvard graduating class of 2010 couldn’t put us back together again” shakespeare wishes…

this album is nice as background music her vocals sound pretty as always and the production is a bit dated but if you're not really listening you cant tell. i think mariah just tries to do too much at times, like on "cruise control" why is she doing a jamaican accent lmao..? or like the opener "migrate" feels overproduced with way too much going on. i appreciate her trying to do something new with a more urban sound but it sometimes falls flat. overall, not an album ill ... read more
