taking a shot every time he says “pretty motherfucker”

i wish i could say i loved this album but i thought it was just fine. like always fka twigs has great vocal performances and i can tell she was going for an art pop album but it fell a little flat imo. i actually liked holy terrain the first time i heard it but by my third listen i didnt really like it the future ad libs and random trap drums throw me off. i was also looking forward to cellophane because everyone loves it but i thought it was a fine song.

good starting point for her career but nothing amazing. it also sounds a bit like a product of its time.
favorite tracks: someday, you need me, sent from above
this is my first miley album i have ever listened to and i was excited because of the hype around it, but it was fine. i wanted to like it more but i feel like theres something missing. this kind of feels like a gay dawn fm and thats not a bad thing just something i picked up on. i think the production is really good but i have never been a big fan of miley's voice. i also prefer the bottom hald of the album.

this album feels so disney to me and not in a good way. it's like if a disney star decided to be a singer and started cussing just to prove that they were "grown" now. i think a lot of the lyrics were really goofy and the whole "bad girl/rich girl" act got old quick since thats all she sings about. some of the beats were fine but then she would start singing and shes not a very good singer... there were times where i just wished the features took over.

you can tell she was happy as hell to leave that company. she tries different styles here from hip hop to ballads and even if this album feels slightly like an album i dont mind. she was finally able to be as creative as she wanted and gave us one of her best albums, setting the precedent of what was to come from her.
favorite tracks: save room for us, perfect crime, touch & go
this album doesnt really do much for me. i think it's beyonce's biggest album in terms of commercial hits and i think that was the purpose of this album. i can appreciate it for its hit singles but outside of that nothing special especially for beyonce's standards.
favorite tracks: if i were a boy, broken-hearted girl, sweet dreams
not bad but also nothing im super in love with, i think the julie song dropped the score a lot and im not even saying that because julie was on it (i didn’t even know she was on it until i was almost done with the song)
favorite tracks: irresistible, trampoline
ill give this album another chance but i just wasn’t a fan of it, which sucks because i like some of his other projects. it just feels like whatever but also i really hated the song sage time.
favorite tracks: the singles
while i still prefer stankonia, i can admit that this is the better album. the storytelling, production, and hooks are so captivating. i think the only bad part about it was "mamacita" which i actually enjoyed at first but after listening to it again the hook gets annoying.
favorite tracks: skew it on the bar-b, aquemini, spottieottiedopalicious
i listened to this album multiple times hoping that it clicks but it just never did. i definitely don’t think it’s bad and i can understand why this might be people’s favorite tyler album but im not just connecting with it. the concept of the album is also pretty cool.
favorite tracks: sweet / i thought you wanted to dance, juggernaut, wilshire
standard pop album with disco influences, this album feels a little one note but it’s fun so i don’t mind.
favorite tracks: kamikaze, kollage, so right
the instrumentation on this album is honestly insane and why i can see so many people loving this album. i also really liked her songwriting and how she tackles subjects like death.
favorite tracks: pasan los días, el lugar correcto, maría la curandera
this is just kendrick having fun and i had fun. this album is soo west coast. i think this is the first time kendrick fully incorporated the west coast sound which was cool i can understand why everyone in my area kept blasting this album .
favorite tracks: wacced out murals, hey now, peekaboo
this album is sooo smooth from the production to her vocals. i can see why people feel this album feels a bit one note i felt that way first listen but if you really listen to the instrumentals you can distinguish the songs. this sound goes so well with her i hope she keeps doing it.
favorite tracks: heaven is a home..., for: you, territorial, ilysmit
probably his best album out of all the ones ive heard, its kind of an encapsulation of everything abel is capable of you get his moodier songs but also more pop and trap songs. i also think he showcases his best vocal performances on this album.
favorite tracks: hardest to love, heartless, in your eyes
the production on this album is so cool, i really liked the airy-ness of it, my only major problem was her vocals i felt they were a little weak.
favorite tracks: drowned world / substitute for love, ray of light, frozen
