i really went into this album wanting to be a charmbracelet truther but that was not the case… i don’t find much interesting about this album besides a few songs her vocals are pretty, the production can be hit or miss it just doesn’t have anything for me to cling onto. also why does she keep adding unnecessary rap features…
favorite tracks: through the rain, i only wanted, subtle invitation
the first half is better than the second … while not a bad album i do feel it is weak especially with what was yet to come, she still hadn’t really found her sound here like there’s a random dance song which i liked but felt a little out of place but i think since this was her solo debut she was experimenting with different things.
favorite tracks: human behavior, crying, one day
everyone says r&b is dying but they paid dust to this banger… chloe and halle pls come back.
favorite tracks: forgive me, busy boy, don’t make it harder on me
probably the best kpop ep of 2025 and its not close... listening to goddess really solidified that for me. honestly congrats to the team that put this together it's so cool to see kpop groups wanting to create a body of work (or in this case a small body of work). im so glad they kept the drum and bass sound it goes so well with them. i saw someone say the album cover is them going to the club, oh these queens.
favorite tracks: club for the broken, goddess
artms, i was not familiar with your game ....
i always thought loona made good music but when they disbanded i didnt really pay attention to the post-loona activities besides yves and a few songs here and there but i so regret that because this was probably one of the better albums to come out of 2024 kpop. kpop has the habit of making playlists not albums and this definitely feels like an album. the production is really cool with the drum and bass which i was not expecting my only big issue ... read more
some of the production is nice but yeule’s vocals are a little boring to me.
favorite track: eko
i wish i could rate this higher especially since it started off so strong but towards the end it declines in quality. idk if it was a personal choice or if the last few songs were throwaways but it was almost like a different album like why did two songs have an acoustic guitar what happened to the rock and electronic sounds. overall still pretty good.
favorite tracks: on the low, butterfly kisses, eat me
kind of forgettable, i felt like she was trying to copy what was going on in the mainstream, the features felt forced, and “what did i do?” is not a good song.
favorite tracks: heartbreaker, bliss, how much
wow.. one of my biggest criticisms of this album used to be that its consistent in terms of track placing and this album seemed all over the place but as ive listened to it again i realized that that's the point. the way the tracks all contribute to the overall storytelling of the album was really cool, she even managed to tie in a song about black liberation to her situation with her husband. i used to be one of those people who didn't get why people loved this album so much but im ... read more
if i remember correctly, i believe mariah said that around this time is when she experienced what it was like to love love and it’s so apparent in her songwriting. i think this may be the album where her songwriting is the strongest just by the way she’s so vivid and descriptive like on “rooftop” where she depicts a romantic encounter with her lover and even adding words that i had never heard before like when she said “vividly emblazoned in my mind.” ... read more
really nice production with the bedroom pop sound and their voices are pretty but the lyrics are a bunch of nothing/silly at times. it’s cute but also kind of forgettable.
favorite tracks: 8 AM, lamb, pop star
sure, what the hell. jokes aside, on my first listen i was really not feeling this but on my second listen it grew on me. my biggest issue and this is my issue with addison in general is that her voice is kind of uninteresting to me, it just doesn’t do it for me. i also had high expectations for this project since everyone seems to love it but maybe im not gay enough idk. i think the production is pretty solid apart from a song or two. it’s pretty obvious who was on her mood board ... read more
wow... the instrumentation, the vulnerabilty, the rawness, her flow, the track with her brother... i really cant say anything else she's just that great and knows how to assemble a body of work.
side note: inflo you will be paying for your crimes.
this is the first full project i've listened of marina's since "froot." and idk... i don't think it's terrible like others do but i also don't think it's great. to start off, ive always been a huge fan of marina's vocals and i still am! i think they're one of the highlights of this album, she just has a really pretty tone. i also think the strings she uses on some of the songs are so gorgeous. the lyrics are a little hit and miss, one of the ... read more
she needs to tap into this sound again. for the longest time i thought people were overhyping this album but i finally got it. on this album she let go of the new jack swing/pop sounds and just went full r&b and it compliments her so well all the songs were so smooth and pretty.
favorite tracks: underneath the stars, always be my baby, when i saw you
the production here is really cool with glitchy and poppy beats but the vocals are slightly lackluster. pretty cool how it ends on such a banger.
favorite tracks: such great heights, sleeping in, brand new colony
this album is kind of weird because i feel like it has some of mariah’s best songs but then there’s also some songs here that are like whatever. i like ballads but some of the ballads on here had lackluster production and it was her vocals that saved them. also “just to hold you again” is just a watered down version of “my all” i can see myself coming back to this album more than her first two but only for my top songs.

i was actually going to rank this one lower than her debut but the only reason i didn’t is because i love how she expresses herself in this album. i know it’s redundant but she was really singing with emotion here so even some of the songs fell a little flat for me it was how she was singing them that made me tolerate them.
