i remember really wanting to like this album because i really liked positions and everyone said this was an r&b project but i felt the album was a little lackluster. i think she has great vocals but this album is missing something.
favorite tracks: 34+35, positions
while i do feel this is her best album in terms of a whole body of work, she has her vulnerable moments, great pharrell production, i can't help but feel that this album is not authentic to her. it feels like a random album she hopped on and called it a day.
favorite tracks: R.E.M, successful, borderline
ive kept up with flo ever since cardboard box blew up and i had anticipated their album for so long. while i did enjoy the album and i think there a solid characteristics, like the very smooth transitions, the destiny childs/y2k-esque sound, and amazing vocals/harmonies i just don't find myself coming back to this album and im not sure why.
favorite tracks: how does it feel, soft, caught up
i didn't want to be one of those people that shits on crash but its just not her best album. abit generic, with some cute songs but i don't see myself coming back to this album with the exception of my favorite tracks.
favorite tracks: good ones, constant repeat, beg for you (ag cook remix), yuck, used to know me
i could see why she released this in 2022 and i think the world needed an album like this during that time. its a mix of r&b, electropop, dance pop along with other genres that is bouncy and fun with a mix of slower tempo songs. i don't listen to this album often but when i do i have a good time.
favorite tracks: i can see the future, bouncin, undo (back to my heart), something like a heartbreak (deluxe)
great production, great vocals, great story-telling (shout out to pyramids), and a great andre 3000 verse. i instantly loved this album i remember frank saying he chose the color orange because he sees orange as happy and this is what this album makes me feel. it makes me feel warm, calm, like if i were to go on the edge of cliff with the sunset going down i would put this album.
favorite tracks: fertilizer, sweet life, crack rock, pyramids, lost
favorite tracks: club classics w bb trickz, everything is romantic w coraline polachek, b2b w tinashe
my first tyler album and i was pleasantly surprised i had never heard his music before so this album was a great introduction. the stories he tells like on hey jane and judge judy really resonated with me and the fire beats ofc.
favorite tracks: darling i, hey jane, thought i was dead
the story-telling, the love triangle concept, the production, the way the album is a loop, is just great. i cant really say much about this album but it is definitely an experience.
favorite tracks: earfquake, i think, new magic wand, whats good
i made the mistake of listening to sos first and i remember thinking sos was amazing and couldn’t understand why ctrl got so much hype BUT NOW I DO. the songwriting is fun yet serious and sometimes even silly, the way the album transitions, just great.
favorite tracks: prom, the weekend, go gina
when i was 14 i could’ve sworn this was the pinnacle of music. this album has a special place in my heart because it got me through my formative years and it does have some great songs but it also feels like marina’s most impersonal album.
favorite tracks: staring role, power & control, radioactive

this album could eradicate homophobia.
favorite tracks: cozy, alien superstar, thique, america has a problem
had really high hopes for this ep since it was my first album release with tinashe and because of the hit nasty but this ep is lacking. the songs are short and the storyline is rushed but i do appreciate the vocals especially the more sensual/whisper vocals.
favorites: when i get you alone, no broke boys
for an album that was supposed to be vulnerable, the lyric felt a little surface level but great vocals.
favorites: we cant be friends, the boy is mine
this is where she fully shed off the good girl persona and decided to be unapologetically sexy and horny. she also works with different producers and you can tell by its versatility. she has r&b, trip-hop, dance-pop, and other genres in this album but it still feels cohesive.
favorite tracks: breathe on me, early morning, outrageous
