This album surprised me, but I couldn't say for sure whether it was a good or bad thing. I wouldn't call it a bad project at all, but it's not exceptionally good either, in my opinion. If I had to describe Easy Money Baby, I'd call it a rollercoaster. There were songs that blew me away, but then there were others that left me a bit cold. Given the album's context—it's a reggaeton/hip-hop album and therefore not particularly lyrically profound—I ... read more
I'll be eternally upset with Madison for not including this song on locket. In my opinion, this song is one of the best of her entire career. The rhythm is incredibly catchy and dynamic, Madison's voice is, as always, spectacular, and I personally love the music video. This song fits the locket sound much better than songs like yes baby. I would have kept that one as a single and included 15 MINUTES as part of locket. It's a really enjoyable song, and the lyrics convey a message ... read more
This deluxe edition feels like a perfect expansion to an already perfect project. Most of the songs on the deluxe are excellent, and I love that Sabrina included Busy Woman as part of it, since it was previously exclusive to vinyl. However, I'm still disappointed that Needless to Say remains exclusive to vinyl and isn't available on streaming services. I think the collaboration with Dolly Parton was a huge waste. I understand she wanted to do an alternative version of one of the ... read more
This album propelled pop in 2024 and Sabrina to stardom. Short n’ Sweet is simply pop at its finest, definitely one of the best musical projects of 2024 and Sabrina's career. Most of the songs are flawless and brimming with personality, and are unmistakably Sabrina's. Songs like Taste, Slim Pickins, and Espresso, in my opinion, perfectly express Sabrina's personality and humor. The two singles chosen were the best she could have picked to convey the album's vibe. The ... read more
The deluxe edition is... okay-ish. In my opinion, the deluxe wasn't particularly necessary. I appreciate the new songs, especially "somehow i got lucky," which is one of my favorite Madison songs, but were they really necessary? I don't think so. This expansion covers something completely different. While the original project dealt with the conflict of getting over someone and letting go of those memories, locket deluxe is about Madison falling in love again, which ... read more
