locket deluxe

I was not an expecting a deluxe, but okay, here goes round two.

I’m sure most of the people who follow me on this site have read my review of the og “locket.” to this day, it’s one of my favorite reviews I’ve written and am still really proud of it. 4 new songs for Locket!!! (I know one is just the extended intro, but that’s exactly why I’m counting it as a song now). Locket is a really good album, maybe I expected a bit more, especially because of the lack of more EDM tracks, and the singles definitely carried the album, but at the end of the day it’s still a really beautiful project. It also makes me super excited to hear even more from her, and on top of that, the cover art is gorgeous.

Girl I love most of your previous work, but STOP microwaving stale Lana and Ariana nachos please. Just make some fire EDM.

The deluxe edition is... okay-ish. In my opinion, the deluxe wasn't particularly necessary. I appreciate the new songs, especially "somehow i got lucky," which is one of my favorite Madison songs, but were they really necessary? I don't think so. This expansion covers something completely different.
