While it does have some of my favorite LUCKI songs, overall, it’s not his strongest. Beats go nowhere and his performance isn’t interesting whatsoever. Genuinely just stop sleeping on the mic and put some passion in the performance its not cool or unique anymore. The bonus tracks are by popular vote and my vote the best moments on the album, but the main tracklist has lots of mid. And, even with the short song length, the long tracklist makes it stay well over its welcome.

Wow so 60s . its really cool with this band because what they make feels like okay obviously this is ripping from that era but they make it so good and most songs dont even sound all that derivative. Kinda like tasteful nostalgia-pandering music

Really underwhelming musically. The lyrical side is definitely strong, but the album doesn’t really do too much to catch you by surprise or sweep you off your heels. Isaiah’s performances are consistently not something to gawk at, taking a lowkey approach to it all in his rap-sung delivery. I’m just not convinced the reflective lyrical substance make up for such a slow tracklist.

BLACK PLEASURE is a really special and underrated insanity. Cities Aviv’s use of sampling, atmospheric beats, truly make you float, forming a really crazy type of spiritual enlightenment opening your third eye. Some of the best cloud rap ive ever heard. The mixes on all of these songs help create a drugged out ethereal soundscape and its just so so unique and beautiful

Thundercat’s Distracted is a really great comeback. It’s an amazing album with so many tracks that R genuinely heavenly. The production throughout is absolutely stunning with soothing and warm feelings laced in between. Dudes vocals were also killing it the whole time. Distracted doesn’t take itself too too seriously either, leaving room for fun moments and lines, definitely making the experience better as a whole.
