Fire pop punk album that just keeps pressing on the gas. Ego peek mid and 777 have been on repeat for the past year.
I feel like the vocal screaming isn't for everyone but if you like Prince Daddy at all you should really like this :)
Some of his most mature song writing, short but strong guest performances, and a great selection of instrumentals make this a standout album for me.
Very mid. For the Voidz I expected a lot more, especially off of Prophecy of the Dragon.
I didn't listen to 7 horses or... overture as a single (why was an interlude a single lol). 7 horses to me was a standout, I really do like how most of it sounds sonically. However, most of the rest of the album falls below average in my opinion. Square wave I think is the only other song I may return back to. All the same is almost good, but it has really rough autotune to the point of negatively ... read more
While a more entertaining album than anything he's put out in a while, the albums lyrics feel like something Tom Macdonald would write.
The old Eminem edge does NOT work today at all -- it feels forced most of the time.
It'd be like if Tyler the Creator casually put out an album that was like Bastard today. It'd just feel...weird?
The final song on the album is actually pretty nice and the album has some fun moments -- but overall it just does not click for me.
This song has some good moments, and I do enjoy the Voidz use of autotune sometimes..
however this song in particular is hindered heavily by it.
Honestly, this album enticed me all the way through.
Every song sonically appealed to my ears, while every lyric appealed to my heart. It's a beautiful work of art.
Hands down my favorite MGMT project.
I initially gave this a higher review than I should have. I think part of me disliked Donda and JIK so much that this album sounded better than I expected..but that doesn't mean it's good. I did a relisten after jamming out to a bunch of other Kanye albums and jesus christ the production on this feels unfinished
There are some highlights but the mixing and lyrics on most songs just ain't it. Burn, carnival, fuck sumn, good don't die are all great. I'll just touch on those

A fantastic first album that continues to grow on me every listen.
The lead vocalist has some of the best stage presence I've ever seen, as well as a really powerful and commanding voice.
This whole sound gives me nostalgia and really stands out to me as a standout. A nearly perfect album, with only a couple...brief low points.
and who fucking cares about them being an 'industry plant'...the music is good lol
A good album, but it almost feels like it's a weaker version of the artists it's emulating than trying to be its own thing.
The Big Thief, Taylor Swift, and Phoebe influence works well -- but I almost want something a bit more exciting. Songs like Bird and Glitter are good hints of that.
I will admit, the song writing throughout is very enjoyable. It's very personal, and feels like I was thrown into someone's diary.
A fantastic introductory album that is a bit under 30 minutes but has a ton of memorable highlights.
There is definitely room to grow, but overall it's a great album that does it's job well.
A great improvement over the first album, TjK shows fantastic improvement here.
A shorter album that packs a ton more punch, each song sounds unique and draws you in.
Easy album to throw on and just chill out to, really proud of how much has improved in such quick time.
A return to form, but a weakened one. Some definite lows here and oddball trying to be zoomer friendly lyrics.
The highlights are really strong though, Dilemma may be one of my favorite things they've done musically. Father to a son is a really touching track and ballad, and a sequel to Wake Me up When September Ends. Those two songs are definitely going to be on repeat for years.
Overall, this has me looking forward to any album they do next -- hoping they continue this and make it a ... read more
A fantastic album, with only a couple songs that I'd consider "weaker". However, a weak song on this album is still an 8/10.
First Love / Late Spring, Drunk Walk Home, Jobless Mondays, Francis Forever, and Texas Reznikoff are all must listens IMO.
A disappointment when it came out -- and still one to this day.
While I actually don't mind Beverly Hills -- a lot of the rest of the album feels uninspired and not memorable.
HOWEVER, Perfect Situtation is a really great song on an awful album. Haunt you every day also is a pretty great song..but the rest of the album could be entirely left behind and I could care less.
A classic, however there are a few songs that haven't aged well in my opinion.
However, the best songs on this album easily make up for the weaker ones.
The best concept album of all time. Using a hospice worker taking care of a terminally ill patient as a metaphor for an abusive relationship is fucking fantastic.
It sticks to the concept, but does it in a sonically pleasing way with a lot of ups and downs throughout the songs. Each song is a surprise, and every moment on the album exists for a reason -- emotionally or sonically.
I do admit, the main singer's voice isn't perfect but that's really what adds to the emotion.
This albums aged very well for me. I initially preferred Soft sounds from Another Planet, but this album delves into a fantastic soundscape that draws the listener in.
