Well, color me surprised. I did not expect to enjoy this as much as I did.
"The Answer Is" was a tale of two halves for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the first half of the album, but as I neared the latter half of the album, I started to feel fatigued. The tracks seemed to melt into one. So when I saw that Just a Gent would be releasing a "b-side" to that very same album, I had reservations as I feared it would be more of the same.

Listen to this album one day when you're stressed out and feel like all your thoughts are scrambled and running around in circles. Find something nice to drink, wear a good pair of headphones, get comfortable in a good chair or a soft sofa, close your eyes and relax.

This album makes you wonder why Skrillex chose to release the "Don't get too close" album. This album shows a more mature side to Skrillex with brilliant production and, mostly, good features. This album easily contains some of Skrillex's best work to date, where especially the singles "XENA", "Supersonic", "Leave me like this" and "Rumble" stand out for me. A few tracks like "Hazel Theme" and "Good Space" do leave you with ... read more
