A step up from his last album, but still nowhere as good as swnt. It feels like his experimentation, while still there, is way more directed towards a specific genre blend instead of trying even more styles. On his first album you would get surprised out of nowhere by songs like no looking back that completely changed the style of the album, but there are no similar surprises here. Still a good album, but not what I want from owusu.
Every time I relisten aethiopes I get more out of it, truly a majestically brutal album
