When listened to with good speakers and good bass, this album could very easily elevate the mood of any gathering. However, an album can only go so far when it is purely background noise and bass. After a while, it begins to get repetitive, with signs of possible overproduction and overwhelming noises. Purely noise.
One of the defining points of the booming rap scene in the 2010s. In its almost 6 years of existing, Astroworld has opened the door to the psychedelic side of hip hop. Even with its psychedelic nature, it still manages to sprinkle in bits of trap and southern hip hop. Unreal album, Top 2 Travis.
My favorite rock album of all time. Kurt Cobain delivers multiple masterpieces, going down as some of the most iconic rock songs of all time. Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, Come As You Are, Lithium, Drain You, On a Plain, Something In The Way, culturally shifting pieces of art that shaped the grunge era and still hold relevance to this day.
Near perfection, one of my favorite albums of all time. Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood continue to show off their elite musical ability and chemistry. Mind-altering sounds, unreal cinematics, deep meaning, beautiful lyrics. Absolute masterpiece.
Good start for a clear intro into her new album. The pieces are there, and I am really looking forward to how she will articulate her new work.
