Generally dismal, but holy shit Carnival is really good. Hoodrat is probably the worst track I've heard this year, genuinely intolerable.
this is the gayest fucking thing ive ever heard.
utterly stellar.
A visceral schadenfreude of unmatched energy. I genuinely think this would kill anyone born before 1911 upon hearing it. This may be the greatest song of all time.
I can hardly articulate just how much I enjoy this track, so I'll let the score speak for my opinion.
Meant to rate this far earlier. It is the epitome of sludgecore. Sludgecore as a linguistic entity exists as a byproduct of this album being present within the material world. This album is fucking murky, it's goofy, unbelievably fucking goofy, but I cannot understate the artistic merit which it holds.
If ever there was a black swan event to occur within the musical space in recent memory, it would be this album.
I was not expecting the sheer quality of this project, hell, I don't think anyone was, but it has not just merely met the expectations I had for it, it has utterly fucking eclipsed them. I am just in complete astonishment at how incredible this album was, and I anticipate seeing where the band goes from here.
Not sure how to articulate how I feel about this one. It certainly doesn't miss, though.
Somewhat catchy, but a rubbish novelty track nontheless.
listened to this at 4 in the morning while barely conscious and holy fucking christ it was an experience.
ill post a better review later i promise.
Phenomenal, particularly underrated project. It bears a warm, nostalgic sound unlike anything else I've heard.
Dismal track worshiped and vehemently defended from any form of criticism whatsoever by terminally online teenagers.
It is said that Radiohead "elevated self-loathing to an art form." If that is so, then it is certain that Have a Nice Life perfected it.
This is a project which seeps with lurid human misery, from beginning until finish, and does so in a way that is never once obnoxious or unnecessary. It is truly unique in this regard, being an album which utterly drowns you with it's emotion, yet does so in a way that is deeply comforting and, in some cases, incredibly cathartic.

This album has shrunk on me a notable amount. Though it's cultural impact cannot be understated, many of it's tracks are just unbearably mediocre, with highlights being generally unremarkable and sparse.
Another one of the albums which got me into music. Perhaps not his finest work, but it will, for a multitude of reasons, always hold a special place within me.
It's not the travesty Hawaii Pt. 2 is, nor does it have the fun, over the top "quirk" of Marvin's, it's kind of just below average due to it's immense, consistent mediocrity. There's really nothing here that sticks out to me whatsoever, though I find Hymn for a Scarecrow to be a very pretty track, so I'll give it that.
