Pretty good.
Chaotic, insane drumming.
Extreme, intense vocals.
I think it has a bit of a falloff, being a bit boring near the end.

Silencer - Death - Pierce Me
59

Fucking terrifying.
Probably one of the creepiest and weirdest albums i've listened to in a while.
The most notable thing about this album is the vocals.
Odd, unique, wails. Screams of suffering fill the album.
They're really unique, but unbearable. It ruins the album's sound. They nailed what they were trying to do, creating an uncanny, atmospheric sound, but this really just doesn't sit right with me.

Nails - Unsilent Death (10th Anniversary Edition)
66

Not bad.
Not much special, in my opinion.
Thought the sound was a bit generic.
Production was alright.
Vocals are solid.
Instrumentation is pretty good.

Ken Carson - A Great Chaos
39

Ehhhh.

Most of the tracks are incredibly boring.

Rage beats, bassy and filled to the brim with autotuned vocals.

I liked Jeniffer's Body, Fighting My Demons and Like This.
The beats are okay. The vocals are bad at times.
The lyrics are not great, and just plain funny at times.

Boundaries - Death Is Little More
40

I don't get the hype behind this album.

The instrumentation was alright. I liked some riffs, but most of the guitar felt repetitive and predictable.
The drumming was okay, but nothing out of the ordinary.
I disliked the vocals. The screams didn't sit right with me, and the clean vocals felt out of place.

I heavily disliked the lyrics. Plain, and in your face.

I liked the first three tracks. "Like Petals from a Stem" is probably my favourite track on here.

I probably just don't ... read more

Igorrr - Nostril
83

Why do I like this so much?

Baroque, classical, folk and opera music mixed with breakcore and black metal aspects.
Sounds wild, but it works pretty well.

Good breakbeats. Chaotic, unpredictable and fast.
The occasional vocals are great.

I loved Double Monk, Tendon, Pavor Nocturnus and Unpleasant Sonata.
Most of the tracks are solid, but the album loses its steam and dips in quality near the end.

Sugar Wounds - Mechanical Friends
76

Pretty solid.
Really cool riffs on the first track.
Very intense. Heavy as hell.
It's a bit repetitive.

Lil Ugly Mane - UNEVEN COMPROMISE
85

??????????????

Huh?? Huh?? What??

Insanity. Weird. Works insanely well though.
Lil Ugly Mane is such a damn unique artist.
No words. Ridiculous track.

Sweet Trip - Velocity : Design : Comfort.
87

Very interesting, unique, captivating.
Glitchy, modern, ahead of its time.
Shoegaze mixed with glitchy aspects.

dgoHn - Undesignated Proximate
66

Too many downers for an hour.
Interesting-ish sound, solid execution otherwise.
Not sure what genre this is. DnB? IDM? Somewhere in between...
If this were cut down it could have been great.

Sematary - RAINBOW BRIDGE
65

Hauuuugghhh..
I enjoyed some tracks off of this.
Everything is very similar in sound.
I was amused by the black metal samples.
Pretty odd, kind of experimental (I guess??????).

goreshit - goretrance 9
72

Pretty solid.
Some boring tracks, but the ones that hit are really good.
Classic goreshit vibe.

tv room - The Big Big Deal
82

Cute, joyous, fun and silly.
Short 10 minute EP, 6 great songs.
Surprisingly the songs themselves deal with pretty heavy topics, but the topics aren't really developed, only scratching the surface. I think that's a good thing!
Singing is fun, mixing is solid, my only complaint musically is that it's a little crowded at times, although that seems to be the intent.

Nujabes - Metaphorical Music
91

An album far ahead of its time.
Every single track is masterfully mixed and produced.
Rapping is impeccable.
My only issue with this album is that some of the instrumental tracks were a bit too long and repetitive.

Daft Punk - Discovery
91

The French actually did something well for once.
Brilliant release from the masterminds of House music.

Underworld - Second Toughest in the Infants
83

Solid classic Trance album.
Really long tracks but very fun and interesting.
A bit of a falloff in quality in the second half.

Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
92

Fuckin' classic.
Atrocity Exhibition is unique, fun, interesting, groovy, just about everything you could possibly think of.
It does just about everything perfectly.
Insane flows, incredible lyrics and superb beats.
Mostly based on drug addiction and everything surrounding it.
One hell of an album, go listen.

Black Country, New Road - Ants From Up There
56

I don't get the hype.
It's pretty emotional and strained, I'll give it that.
Otherwise it feels pretty repetitive and boring.
It's musically sound but it fails to keep my attention.
I really liked "The Place Where He Inserted the Blade".

Duster - Contemporary Movement
83

Yet another slowcore masterpiece in Duster's discography.
Just as sad, depressing and beige as you'd expect it to be.

VACATIONS - Vibes
78

Very solid album.
Short, sweet, pretty.
Young and Friends are great.
