I can see what he was going for on most of the project, but sadly it felt as if he couldn’t keep something going for more than 3 minutes. Doesnt help that sonically it’s not anything special. If he spends a bit longer really perfecting his sound and committing more to it, I can see him being great in the future.

such a weird and sonically different project that I believe is his best. It’s def carried by the beats tho (if peggy had removed that weird vocal thing he did randomly on the record and overall had better performances this could be in contention for an 100)

I think that interpol’s stuff outside of turn on the bright lights gets a lot more hate than it should. While yes they haven’t been able to recreate the quality TOTBL in their about 20 years of actually being an artist, that doesnt mean they haven’t made some damn good projects (with this as a standout; I think this is beautiful)
