I used to hate “Mumble rap.” My parents always were so disrespectful towards modern rap, and i inherited that disrespect for a while. Even after the whole Kendrick-Drake beef that got me into Kendrick Lamar and opened my eyes to rap a little more, i was still really dismissive of trap for a good year or so. I am so thankful that i finally broke out of that, because if i ended up being that same kind of elitist “hip hop head” type that i was pressured into being by TikTok ... read more

this is unironically hard i think me 3 years ago would have killed themself if they knew i would be headbanging to "Queef" by cupcakKe but wow she's actually a great rapper, the production is cool and different on basically every track and while the lyrics are out of pocket it definitely adds a lot of personality to it that keeps me engaged and even has me laughing at times
also the intro track is so fucking good like this is shitsville freddie gibbs levels ... read more
This album pulls ZERO punches and just hits you with the fastest, most energetic and HARD riffs that are possible to form from start to finish while the brutality and anger of the vocals just add to it SO INCREDIBLY WELL it kinda reminds me of jane doe by converge but with every aspect of it being exponentially more potent like how did humans make this album this shit's ridiculous anyways i can't even properly describe what the hells going on but it just sounds so FUCKING GOOD like ... read more
I dont consider myself a prog fan but this is fucking AMAZING. From start to finish it just hits you with the force of a bullet train with all these incredibly hard yet jazzy instrumentals, describing outlandish stories with Greep’s almost indescribable vocals complimenting them all so well. Cameron’s vocals are unfortunately on the weaker side, although he does SO well on eat men eat (Somehow, this was my LEAST favorite on the album at one point) that I’d say it’s top ... read more
Airbuds app is a double edged sword bc i can find people who listen to the same stuff as me but i can't let a soul catch me listening to One of Your Girls or Rush because of how sexual the album cover is 💔💔
ok ignoring that other comment this album was a lot better than i expected. i was motivated to listen to this because i saw someone else on airbuds listen to rush (i admire their bravery) and since i heard of troye sivan on some charli xcx songs i liked before i figured i'd ... read more
This guy genuinely has the best flow I’ve ever heard, it is the saving grace of this project because if any other rapper was on this it would be a 7 but he is genuinely rapping his ass off here from start to finish, there is not a single moment I’m not bobbing my head to this. The lyrics are standard gangsta rap lyrics, the production is simple and the mixing is dogshit but i feel like all those aspects just let his flow shine to a degree it couldn’t on any other album. ... read more
