My math rock obsession continues!
Toe uses acoustic guitar driven melodies with complex drum grooves to create a compelling set of tracks with a very relaxed vibe. I love the math rock drums, but I think the melodies were what really made this album interesting. Out of the math rock albums I have listened to, this one had the most jazz tied into it, which I really enjoyed since I progression to this genre came from my love of Japanese jazz fusion.

This is an absolute GEM!
I did not expect groovy indian summer to be anywhere near this good. I skipped through some songs quickly to decide if I even wanted to listen and thought, screw it, why not, in the most unconvinced way possible. Most of the album has groovy beach vibe that really does lend itself to summer, but a few songs like cure are dreamy shoegaze that aren't quite the happy summer songs ... read more
Annabel displays a very pretty and peaceful aesthetic with Cosmic Gardener.
I found Annabel after listening to her in the j-rock band Siraph. Given how Siraph leans into math rock I was expecting a much faster paced and rock focused vibe from Cosmic Gardener, but was pleasantly surprised with the pretty jazz pop sound it had. Annabel has a beautiful voice and I think the less in your face instrumentals display that very well. I do have to say that the I still prefer her music so with Siraph ... read more
