Kinoko Teikoku's debut EP / Album is stellar.
Uzi ni Naru is an incredible dream-pop and shoegaze journey provided by Japanese band Kinoko Teikoku. I am familiar with this band, and I already loved their 'Long Goodbye' EP and 'Neko to Arerugi' full-length project. Their debut isn't an exception.

I love when Shoegaze actually has dynamic range and isn't just white noise!
Compared to other Shoegaze I have listened to, this album feels a lot more raw vs the dreamy overly-reverberated sound that I generally think of. They took a more organic approach, which made it much more profound and beautiful by showing off the vocalist's incredible talent with minimal effects. Really good song selection here that has a very unique sound and identity, I really loved the emotions conveyed throughout the album especially in songs like School/Fiction, Girl meets Number Girl and Ankle. Its a great display of emotion through sound and I really enjoyed.
