Not bad modern industrial metal album

This album is a top-tier example of proto-Three Days Grace style alternative rock. Packed with powerful riffs, strong melodies, and a raw emotional edge, it’s a standout record that deserves more attention. Unfortunately, the band never created anything quite like this again, as they later shifted towards a heavier alternative metal sound, moving away from the alternative rock style that blends grunge, post-grunge, and hard rock so well here.

A solid blend of neoclassical and ambient music, creating a calm and immersive atmosphere. While not groundbreaking, it’s a rewarding listen for fans of both genres.

The opening track is the one I like the most, but overall the album feels a bit uneven. While there are parts I enjoy, the sound and composition don’t fully click for me yet.

A very weak album. Aside from “Make You Mine,” nothing really clicks. It sounds messy, unfocused, and more like a random collection of tracks than a proper album.

A really solid alt-electro pop album built on emotional vocals and strong production. The songs are direct and hit-focused, but still carry a lot of intensity and personality.

Jeff Buckley – Grace – 10/10
An incredibly emotional and atmospheric album built around Jeff Buckley’s unique, expressive vocals. The record blends alternative rock, folk, and art rock, focusing more on feeling and space than catchy hooks.

“So Real” and “Grace” stand out the most, showing the album’s intensity, dynamics, and raw emotional pull. A timeless record that still feels deeply personal and powerful.

Derek and the Dominos – Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs – 10/10
Probably my favorite blues rock album ever. The record feels raw, honest, and deeply emotional, driven by incredible guitar work and natural, unpolished energy.

“Layla” is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful songs in music overall — both intense and heartbreaking, and still unmatched in how it hits emotionally.

Black Sabbath – Mob Rules – 8/10
Songs like “Voodoo” and “Country Girl” stand out with great riffs, and Ronnie James Dio delivers legendary vocal performances. A strong, riff-driven album with a distinct atmosphere.

Guns N' Roses – Appetite for Destruction [Super Deluxe Edition] – 10/10
One of the greatest hard rock albums ever. Packed with raw energy, killer riffs, and unforgettable songs that still hit hard today. A true classic.

Jack Wall & Sam Hulick – Mass Effect 3 Soundtrack – 9/10
The most emotional and subtle soundtrack in the series. “Leaving Earth” is one of the best tracks in game music overall — unforgettable and deeply moving. Other highlights like “I Was Lost Without You” also stand out, adding to the soundtrack’s powerful atmosphere.

Jack Wall & Sam Hulick – Mass Effect 2 Soundtrack
This is the most complete sci-fi game soundtrack out there. Tracks like “The Illusive Man,” “New Worlds,” “Humans Are Disappearing,” “Suicide Mission,” “The Collector Base,” and “Reflection” are perfect examples of how music can elevate the game’s atmosphere and storytelling.

Jack Wall & Sam Hulick – Mass Effect Soundtrack – 9/10
Great sci-fi soundtrack with a solid mix of electronic sounds. Tracks like “Vigil” and “Uncharted Worlds” set the mood perfectly and really pull you into the game’s world.

Rammstein – Mutter – 9/10
Strong riffs and powerful production make this album stand out. “Sonne” is probably their most laid-back and catchy song, showing a different side of the band. Overall, Mutter balances heaviness with memorable hooks, making it one of Rammstein’s best records.

Dio – Holy Diver – 10/10
This album is a classic heavy metal masterpiece, full of powerful riffs, epic vocals, and unforgettable songs. Guitarist Vivian Campbell delivers some of his best work here, crafting the iconic riffs on tracks like “Holy Diver,” “Rainbow in the Dark,” and “Don’t Talk to Strangers.” Dio’s voice is commanding and emotional, perfectly matching the dark and heroic vibe of the music.

Duran Duran – Duran Duran (1993) – 9/10
A moodier, less hit-focused album built on atmosphere, space, and groove. It blends alternative pop, soft rock, and subtle electronics.

“Ordinary World” and “Come Undone” stand out as some of the band’s best work. The rest of the album keeps a consistent, melancholic tone and works well as a cohesive listen, even without many big hits.
