Travis Scott continues his grounded but somehow still extravagant sound that made Rodeo so great. Astroworld differs in a much less gritty and trap sound compared to Rodeo, but Travis turns what would be a flaw into something great with a more synthy and ascendant sound.
The beats and flows just tickle my brain, one of those albums best enjoyed with the windows down and the wind whipping your face.
Pretty good, was a little repetitive at times but was a nice intro to pink tape. A few songs have stayed in my rotation while others are a little forgettable and boring.
Awkward time in Uzi’s career and the album reflects that with the sudden switch from rage to weird pop rap romance songs, and many of the tracks sounding like they would fit better on agc than any Uzi album. He also abandoned the cloud rap sound that made him famous earlier in his career and replaced it with pretty uninspired rage music.
