After hearing, I would've waited 50 years. Carti pushed the boundies of rapping, producing, features and MUSIC in general. This is my favourite album of all time and my favourite media of all time aswell. When I say Carti is the KING vamp, I really mean it. Beyond perfect, would give higher but this is the limit.
I enjoyed this. I think the production, rapping and features on songs like gorgeous are great and it's pretty consistent throughout the album although there are a decent amount of unneeded bits to this album including that country esk song. Still surprisingly strong though.
(!THIS IS ONLY COUNTING TRACKS FROM THE DELUXE MEANING NO ORIGINAL SOS TRACKS WILL BE CONSIDERED!) I think this has meany great songs with good vocals like my turn, kitchen and especially Saturn, but I think there's much wasted potential like 30 for 30 with Kendrick which is a popular track which I just don't like as I think the performances are bland. However for some great songs I can say thi is a good album but it's definitely SZAs weakest as there's many strengths ... read more
Very, very soulless and unlike most people, to me I feel like this is actually a step down from the first Insano. It feels more soulless with weaker beats and performances and ELCTROWAVEBABY gets a sequal song on this album (the only song I liked on the first Insano) and the performance by Cudi is worse and it has that tacky horrible production style used in clubs and party's!!!! (If you read some of my other reviews, you'd know how much I hate that style). Somehow it got worse than ... read more
This genuinely feels purposely bad. The guy who made Man on the moon in the past and kids see ghosts in the future making a GOD AWFUL album is genuinely not possible (until it is with this) terrible album where every song just sounds like I could probably do better.
This is a good album with great rapping performances however I find it hard to rate this higher as i find it slightly overrated with some songs rapping performances not living up to the rest.
Okay this is just disrespectful, boring and bad. First of all, all the songs are pretty boring and weakly produced not to mention unlike the other to posthumous albums it doesn't tribute Juice WRLD at all but at least those 2 albums had a good few or good songs and tribute Juice well, this doesn't. I mean this is his last album and they end it and his entire discography with him saying suck my d*ck. As someone who actually doesn't think the previous 2 posthumous Jucie albums are ... read more
I mean it's okay but it's definitely weaker than all his other albums previously as presumably he had much less of an input on this one and it's less of a tribute and feels more of a cash grab. Not terrible genuinely just mediocre and shouldn't have been made.
I think this is actually pretty good as an almost tribute album to Juice WRLD where it tributes him well and he clearly had a fair amount of creative input, however they really should've stopped here.
This is a tricky album to rate. However it's pretty bad as Cudi on this project doesn't stand out whatsoever and it doesn't even feel he's on it with constant instrumental full songs where he doesn't speak. The production is repetitive aswell whilst it is OKAY in general but it's keeps repeating itself. Cudi on this project sucks but he's not on it much anyway.
This album is the definition of MEDIOCRE. whilst I can praise it for, to me, not being soulless like Green album and being much more memorable and less generic than Maladroit. However I do think compared to Pinkerton and Blue this album is very weak. 50 is a score that feels just right to me. Beverly hills is a song which compared to a song like buddy Holly, isn't on the same level but is still to me pretty enjoyable and my best friend is a song I do enjoy. However this albums lyricism is ... read more
I don't know how people like this, I see it as similar to the Green album. For starters, sure this probably has more soul than the Green album but it's still pretty bad. It doesn't stand out whatsoever and is so painfully generic. And sure it has more soul than Green but at least every song on Green didn't sound the exact same. Painfully generic and boring.
Wow, this is amazing..... every song is well produced with great rapping. It can too hype songs with TV off, incredibly made songs like the heart pt 6 & more chill songs like man at the garden (not that these aren't all well made). Kendrick delivers on such a short album and this is probably the best of the year. Every song I had such a blast. (This review is up right after the album is out so it COULD change) PEAK.
This is probably one of the most generic things I've ever heard. Weezer in years prior with Blue and pinkerton had showed there unique vocals skills and production and that they knew how to make bangers. This is a massive and I mean MASSIVE step back. Every song you think "hmmm this is gonna be good" and it's not, it's just generic and boring. The worst case of this is island in the sun. Still my favourite song on the album and not terrible but how is this there most ... read more
This is great. I think the way this standsout is it's consistency. Even comparing this to the Weezer (blue album) it is so much more consistent. Every song is enjoyable, well produced and the vocals are good. I think every song is on a similar level except songs like Why bother? which is this albums 10/10 song where blue album had Buddy Holly. Honestly I can't say this album wasn't great and it's consistency was a massive positive. However my main complaint of this album is ... read more
Unratable album. The fall off thar this has from all of Kanyes projects, even to me, Vultures 1 is madness. The album doesn't feel finished with Kanyes lyricism going down from Vultures 1 which was already a drop off and unfinished production. Then him adding AI which is the worst decision on his career and the choice to add bomb and just joke around. Utter terrible song with his daughters spouting nonsense and this shows he didn't care. He also added Yuno Miles, a meme rapper to ... read more
This album has bangers and has a coherent and for the most part, consistent feel. It uses what the Weeknd needs most, great production. I enjoy this project and the feel it gives alot. My main complaint is that a chunk of songs on this project use the great production and feel and are boring with it. Other than that it's pretty solid and the weeknds vocals are definitely better than usual on this.
This project has solid songs where the Weeknds vocals actually manage to carry it without the much needed production I am usually talking about being needed on this project. Songs like Heartless really show his vocal talents and are pretty great songs. I must discuss blinding lights. With four and a half BILLION streams you can't deny this is overplayed but this is a well produced track that you can't deny the weeknd does really seem like he is trying on. Overall this project is one ... read more
