Happy Go Licky is the reformed incarnation of Rites of Spring that existed after the demise of One Last Wish. After Michael Hampton left One Last Wish Picciotto, Janney and Canty reunited with Eddie Janey but instead of getting back for Rite os Spring 2 they went all the way into left field with tape loops, samples, odd time signatures, and weird song structures. One Last Wish - 1986

After D.C's Rites of Spring broke up in 1986 three of its members Picciotto, Janney and Canty teamed up with Michael Hampton,formerly of Embrace and Faith, for One Last Wish. To me One Last Wish picks up right where Rites of Spring left off, but to say that the band is just like their predecessor is wrong. Hum - Fillet Show

If your a true Hum fan Fillet Show is a must listen mainly to hear the inklings the to be band. Other than that most listeners will not be interested in this release mainly because Fillet Show is dwarfed in the overall spectrum of emo and post-hardcore. Some songs on the album like Space Fuck come off tight and cohesive but others like Staring at the Sun are strange and reminiscent of The Hated and R.E.M.
