Returning to the lo-fi sound that made their old records charming. A little weaker in my opinion than some of those records though. Still definitely some highlights
John is one of the finest lyricists ever. He has a knack for writing songs about anything you can think of
John is one of the finest story tellers in modern music. He's kept consistent over 20 plus albums with finely crafted lyricism.
Not my favorite album by him. It lacks tbe eccentricity of his later works that I love but it has its own stripped back charm
