Denzel Curry - Melt My Eyez See Your Future
70

Solid production, solid flows and overall tracks. Some of them suck a bit, but I overall liked the LP. Definetely better then Imperial, Walkin alone is a great track with a lot of energy. The only bigger problem with MMESYF is that I can't really relate to Denzel Curry's music, maybe give it some time. On verra.

Isaiah Rashad - IT'S BEEN AWFUL
45

Lame, not in any way suprising, boring produced, uninspired - I can't tell what is describing this album the best. I hate this lame lofi production and Isaiah did more boring vocals than actually rapping. Perfect for falling asleep but incredible little replay value. Isaiah Rashad's music is overrated, I don't understand how this got a 77 user score. Probably won't coming back to this project ever again.

Idk, I just like Tlop more than Kanye's previous albums. His flow goes hard as fuck aswell as the beat and the bars he spits on No More Parties in LA (Kendrick did NOT outrap him).

Denzel Curry - Imperial
55

Denzel was rapping with energy and heart, but that production was so extremly boring. Some of the tracks are fucking characterless. Well, sorry I have to say this is overrated. The Joey Badass feature was kinda good, though. Might listen to one of his projects.

Kanye West - Graduation
85

'Graduation' feels more like a compilation of hits than an actual LP like his previous albums. These hits, however, are so great produced and iconic, I have to give this a 85. 'I Wonder' and 'Homecoming' are some of the greatest Pop Rap songs ever, I don't care if they are "too mainstream".

Black Thought & Danger Mouse - Cheat Codes
95

Wow, what a masterpiece. I wasn't expecting this. It was so consistent. Insane lyricism from Black Thought and the features, insane beatiful production by Danger Mouse. Holy, I didn't knew him before. I can't even pick the best beat. The only little mistake for me personally was that the production was sometimes a bit too loud so we weren't able to hear Black Thought's clean flow as much as I would have wanted. But overall, (almost) perfect record (also not too many ... read more

Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
70

It is hard to describe the feelings I had while listening to this album. On one hand, the beats from RZA hit very well and the MCs rapped with energy & good flows (even though sometimes quite not focused). On the other hand, well, the record is more than 30 years old and you can definetely hear that. Some of the songs sound produced like... 30 years ago, you know. I feel like it just aged, not really terrible but also not like fine wine.

For the tracks, my favorite is probably Tearz. Very ... read more

Pusha T - DAYTONA
60

Some time ago, I scrolled through the Pusha T discography since I wanted to hear something from him. This was his best rated album, so I added it to my saved list. Now, after the listen, I have mixed feelings. Pusha's flow and lyricism were nothing too special for me while the beats weren't too crazy aswell. Solid, but far away from being really remarkable. I conclude that Pusha T might be a bit overrated, maybe I change my opinion after listening to Let God Sort Them Out.

Dave - The Boy Who Played the Harp
65

I don't remember much from the album because I listened to it some time ago but I can tell I do not understand the 'Raindance' hype, shit was just boring. The title track is btw a banger.

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers (Extended)
75

'The Heart Part 5' is a good (& maybe a bit overrated) song, but doesn't is a huge game changer for the whole project.

Kendrick Lamar - Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers
75

Kendrick's probably most introperspective album is the last album from his discography I listened to (besides S.80 and his mixtapes) and it might be his best. Kendrick's lyrical and rapping performances were very consistent aswell as every feature. BUT... there is something missing. The production in the backround is mostly repetitive and not really catchy. Although intended that way, I feel like a lot of the tracks could have become so much better if the production was a bit more ... read more

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb
70

ASAP Rocky returns with the long-awaited album filled with 17 new tracks which are mostly solid but forgettable, nothing more and nothing less.

Travis Scott - ASTROWORLD
65

'SICKO MODE' is a banger, the rest of the tracks was quite mediocre. The production wasn't really versatile and I don't like the atmosphere it creates in combination with the use of autotune. However, that the Weeknd feature was kinda unexpected while the rest of the album lacks exactly this suprising elements.

Kendrick Lamar - GNX
65

I'm very hungry so I make this quick:
- New Kendrick ain't best Kendrick
- reincarnated carrying this shit
- that production was not it

Kendrick Lamar - DAMN.
75

I definetely like 'DAMN.' more than Kendrick's previous albums, idk why. The production and the song structure just sounds more comfortable. The concept is pretty interesting, too.

And I don't really get the 'HUMBLE.' hate. I saw some people calling it Kendricks worst song, why? I like K's flow and the beat obviously. Calling a song bad only because the artist has some better ones or the song is slightly overplayed on music platforms is just such a trash take.

DaBaby - Baby On Baby 2
30

Ok I know most people rated this very low and made fun of it, but I try to listen to this DaBaby album neutral so let's take it serious.

(Btw my first dababy album I listened to)
Well overall, this is like a very weak record. I listened through to whole thing and completely forgot it was 14 "completely different" tracks. The production was not THAT bad, but... It didn't blew something out of the water and kept imitating itself. And I don't like (lame) pop rap ... read more

Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
60

No real song structure, lame production, flows not interesting enough. I don't fw the genre or Mos Def's music style. He has some potential for me, but yh that was not it. Best Song probably Mathemathics or Brooklyn.

NF - FEAR
85

Edit: 90->85 It's just not as good, I overrated the replay value
An extremly solid and criminally overhated EP. I cannot understand why people are hating so much on this. Saying this the corniest and worst shit they ever heard is just so many miles away from me. How is that possible? Did they even listen to the record? Or are they just spamming horrible reviews to share everyone else oponion? And why did even Fantano rate this as a 1? Was it his house NF burnt down for the cover?

Mobb Deep - Hell on Earth
85

Productionwise, this is a 95/100. Despite a lack of variety and beatswitches throughout the songs, I love the dark and sharp production by havoc. Icl, I don't understand why some of these beats are not considered as classics. Maybe some top tier freestyle artist should rap over them to increase their prominence.
And rapping-wise... idk man. Usually, I really like Prodigy's flow (and lyricism), but on this project, the flow was bit repetitive and brought nothing new on the table. Some ... read more

Run The Jewels - Run The Jewels 2
55

Although I know I'm not the biggest fan of experimental hip-hop, I'm a bit dissapointed. Production was nothing too special, aswell as the flows. I did not really like the lyrics either. Hope you enjoy this more

"@MOZ yeah I would recommend you trying more melodic or mainstream rap with catchier hooks and beats before going deeper into different styles of rap. Some years ago, I got in touch with Eminem, who was my entry into hip hop. You could also try the Kanye West college trilogy like Graduation or LR. Or you just don't like rap idk."
