As a long-time FOO fan, this has stood the test of time for me as their best work to date. Maybe there's magic in the air at Abbey Road Studios, but every song on this album flows together so well. There really is no low point, or any part of this that doesn't work for me. Rob Scallon works best when he's vulnerable and honest, and the writing Andrew Huang did was electric. Strobe to me is one of the most comforting tracks I have ever heard. The sentiment of this song is something I truly hold dear. This simple look at life as to cherish the small moments and appreciate what you have, like how your friends make you laugh, or how you and your dad kind of look the same. These 'Blood Pacts' we make define the present and give life its meaning.

twenty one pilots found their footing with their sound on this album. Tyler Joseph has always stuck out to me as an incredibly deep and profound writer, if not perhaps held back by his tendency to grab too much at the buffet, causing a musical headache in the process. There is a sharp focus on this album that has really hooked me this time around. I didn't care for their last few albums, and this feels like a real return to form from 'TRENCH'.
