Super simple, but incredibly intoxicating. For me, this is the definition of a 'feel good' album.
I remember seeing Cavetown perform live (my second time seeing him) in 2024 and he played a new song. - "Let Them Know They're On Your Mind", off the Little Vice EP - and I was absolutely *floored* by it. I went home and saved it immediately and hoped and prayed that he would make more music that sounds like that someday.

While songs like "The Phone Works Both Ways" and title track "The Medicine" are something truly unique, a lot of this album suffers from what most of the emo genre does. It's quite derivative, assumedly in an effort to play it safe. I truly wish The Jazz June took the opportunity to tap into a new sound, especially at the turn of the millennium.
