Genuinely why is the radio version of Good Time just slightly different it pisses me off because it’s better

I wanted to hate this so bad, and I don’t love it but it is solid hyperpop.

Brutalist is a fantastic track so that song alone pretty much makes the whole listen worth it. The rest range from very good to pretty bland. Like Detour, DTLA, and Need For Speed are some really sick songs honestly. But then to counteract those, there’s Check It, Bitch Ball Out, and Korea which I felt were very uninteresting and forgettable. I like the potential though.

I think I would like this more if I hadn’t heard the previous Green Day albums.

I feel Kerplunk, Dookie, and Insomniac all sound very similar. They’re all good albums don’t get me wrong, but by the time I’ve reached Insomniac, I’m kinda waiting to hear something new. It doesn’t help that a lot of the tracks are very short and almost blend together, in the first half especially. But at the end of the day, it is still Green Day so I end up liking it anyway.
