JID - The Forever Story

After removing every review off my page for like the 3rd time because i was unhappy with what I was rating things I thought it finally time to get back and start reviewing. And what better place to start than my favorite album of all time.
Not quite sure to say about this because it the greatest ever to grace the human ear but the best way I could put it to the public is JID’s GKMC. A lyrical masterpiece where he goes through the ins and outs of his upbringing whilst doing it over the ... read more

A$AP Rocky - Don't Be Dumb

After 8 years without an album ASAP really needed a comeback after some of the drama around him, and wow did he make a splash.
While different sounding from his first 3 albums and even his last one, Don’t be dumb still has that signature rocky energy. the production is still great his rapping is still melodic and he still knows how to make catchy hooks. However, there were songs especially in the middle that felt like they contained all of the same artistic ideas, which while all great, ... read more

Seeing as it’s Drake, It’s Iceman, and the cover is part of Michael Jackson, this album really doesn’t need any introduction
While the production here is the best it’s been for drake in a while, there’s something from drakes performance on every song that just feels off. it feels like every song he’s too busy telling you that everybody’s doubting him that he forgets to show why they shouldn’t. there are some good songs in Whisper my name, Make ... read more

It’s felt impossible not to have heard of Leon Thomas over the past year between Mutt and his other songs so when this came out however long ago I gave it a quick listen.
While i thought it was solid and had solid performances I thought the production did some of the heavier lifting throughout. Between Trapped, Baccarat, and my muse I found myself enjoying the production more than I did Leon Thomas himself. However obviously he was still solid but I only wonder what could’ve been ... read more

Saba & No I.D. - From the Private Collection of Saba and No I.D.

Im not quite sure whether to give this a 90 or a 95 but i’ll go lower for now.
As my first introduction to saba ever I would definitely say it plenty worthy. Even if we ignore No Ids catchy production, Sabas way of rapping is always really satisfying to listen to. He never tries anything too technical or hardcore instead choosing to sound more casual which is such a pleasant sound. This album definitely isn’t perfect there are some just good songs that sound a little fillery but the ... read more
