X JAPAN's best work, VANISHING VISION is an amazingly intense energetic speed metal album that fills you with excitement and movement, even if you're seated or lying down. It's got a nice "punk" feel to it, which is reflected in their wild, flashy concerts - which you should watch if you want the full experience.
If you're into PIG, this album is a great "detour" to take from the main discography. However, I mean it fully when I say this isn't for the faint of heart. Be warned that this album isn't subtle in any regard. Everything from the lyrics to the instrumental composition is deeply disturbing and teeth-grindingly intense in all the right places.
