The fuck is there to say? CHEF BELLION IS BACK AND HE HAS SERVED HIS BEST ALBUM YET. LET US REJOICE.
fav tracks: HOROSCOPE, FATHER FIGURE, WHY, GET IT RIGHT, KID AGAIN, MODERN TIMES, RICH AND BROKE, MY BOY
least fav tracks: WASH, WASH2
The Week- sorry, I mean: Abel Testfaye concludes both a gripping and insanely immersive era and persona with a look backwards and a solid "fuck you" to the hell he climbed out of. Couldn't ask for a better sendoff of the Weeknd character. XOTWOD.
fav tracks: Wake Me Up, Cry For Me, Baptized In Fear, Open Hearts, Enjoy The Show, Niagara Falls, Take Me Back To LA, Drive, The Abyss, Red Terror, Without A Warning, Hurry Up Tomorrow

COIN's fifth studio album paints them in their final form, with snappy and punchy, but heartfelt and honest lyricism and crunchy COIN-rock production. The energy has been ramped down a bit, but it's still a jam-worthy album.
fav tracks: Slack, Along For The Ride, Growing Song, Bloodtype, Olivia, Strawberry Jam, Leaving a Light On
least fav tracks: It's Hard to Care About Everything, Blueberry Smoothie
Definitely more thought-out lyrically, but only by a hair. Other than that, same shitty, nasally, grating, deafening, Chipettes child voice on every fucking facet of this album. Seriously, this chick really needs some sort of procedure done on her larynx or her recording contract should be dissolved. Absolutely awful.
fav tracks: hell no
least fav tracks: all of them
The production is fresh and spunky, the writing is authentic, ROSE's vocal performance is raw and compelling, and it just brings me back to 1989/Red era Taylor Swift. For a first album, this is a very strong and promising start for ROSE.
fav tracks: number one girl, 3am, toxic till the end, APT., gameboy, stay a little longer, call it the end, too bad for us
least fav tracks: not the same, dance all night
Half Alive's third LP is a bombastic deep stare inward to us as human beings, while staying as refreshingly addictive and poppy as their previous studio efforts.
fav tracks: Persona, Sophie's House, Automatic, People, Bleed It Out, Lie Lie, The Point
least fav tracks: Long Drive, Thank You
It's punchy. It's experimental. It's sassy. It's story-driven from real people and experiences. It's Glass Animals' sophomore album, and the band isn't holding back anymore.
fav tracks: Life Itself, Season 2 Episode 3, Pork Soda, Cane Shuga, [Premade Sandwiches], The Other Side of Paradise, Take A Slice, Poplar St, Agnes
least fav tracks: Youth, Mama's Gun
Dreamland takes quite a welcome and pleasant departure from the rowdy tongue-and-cheek sound off its predecessor, instead settling for the introspective and sappy, with its sentimental and warm lyricism, balanced with steely pop-trap bravado.
fav tracks: Tangerine, Hot Sugar, Tokyo Drifting, Your Love (Deja Vu) Waterfalls Coming Out Your Mouth, It's All So Incredibly Loud, Heat Waves, Helium
least fav tracks: Melon and the Coconut
Not gonna lie, I was terrified to hear this thing after the misguided but perversely charming Kick In The Teeth. But after Yippie Ki Yay, my faith was restored. Yes, the country sound took some getting used to, but honestly, I'm happy most of the other songs weren't much like Kick In The Teeth. *shudders*
fav tracks: Yippie Ki Yay, Probably
least fav tracks: Honeysuckle, Kick In The Teeth
A raw manifesto of the band's true stories as people. It may not have its predecessor's quite ballsy experimentation and tongue-in-cheek writing, but what we get instead is a far more valuable and soulful 13 tracks that break Hippo Campus down to brass tacks.
fav tracks: Prayer Man, Paranoid, Fences, Everything At Once, Flood, Corduroy, Brand New, Closer
least fav tracks: Tooth Fairy, Madman
LP3 sees Hippo Campus at a much more figured out and collected place in their music, now properly equipped to pack an emotional punch while showering us in glitchy synths and cocaine-coated guitar melodies.
fav tracks: 2 Young 2 Die, Blew Its, Ashtray, Bang Bang, Listerine, Boys
least fav tracks: Semi Pro, Scorpio
Bambi is Landmark's darker sibling, one-upping Landmark with its versatility, but coming up short at times in substance and engagement.
fav tracks: Doubt, Why Even Try, Honestly, Golden
least fav tracks: Anxious, Think It Over, Bubbles
Despite the album's stunted dynamicism, Hippo Campus starts off strong with Landmark, with a balanced soundscape of feel-good, vibey, and nostalgic indie rock.
fav tracks: Way It Goes, Epitaph, Simple Season, Western Kids, Boyish, Buttercup
least fav tracks: Vacation
The tongue-and-cheek is back in full swing with FINNEAS' exasperated sophomore effort. Juxtaposing live instruments with his familiar electronic flourishes, it's safe to say that we're seeing some serious growth.
fav tracks: Starfucker, What's It Gonna Take To Break Your Heart?, Cleats, 2001, Same Old Story, For Cryin' Out Loud!, Family Feud
least fav tracks: Little Window
While it may be a bit restrained from his usual style, FINNEAS makes his debut album punchy, dark, and effectively electric.
fav tracks: The Kids Are All Dying, Happy Now?, Only A Lifetime, The 90s, Love is Pain, Peaches Etude, Medieval, What They'll Say About Us
least fav tracks: How It Ends
Heard Giving Up and was hyped to hear this album. Sadly, it seems like the band gave up on the versatility aspect. It's slow, boring, and the only highlight is Giving Up, because that's at least more lively than the rest of the tracks on the album. This album artwork is beautiful, though.
The production definitely saves this album from the red. I may be a sucker for breakup songs, but something about the way Charlie does them sounds padded out and whiny. And that's what this album is mostly full of. Despite all that, the production has never been fresher.
fav tracks: That's Hilarious, Charlie Be Quiet, Loser, Marks On My Neck, I Don't Think That I Like Her
