While the ambition is palpable, it does nothing to soften the concussion of mangled contemporary experiments that smack you in the face time and time again. At the very least, those guitars are nice.
fav tracks: Higher Higher, Morning Light (feat. Alicia Keys), Say Something (feat. Chris Stapleton), Young Man
least fav tracks: Filthy, Sauce, Montana, Breeze Off The Pond, The Hard Stuff
Confessions definitely has some peak moments with its production, but none of that is enough to distract us from Logic's lyrical fall from grace.
B+ for effort, F- for execution. You're lucky Hot Shower is a funny song to listen to.
fav tracks: Hot Shower
least fav tracks: everything else tbh
Macklemore starts off on a earnest and upbeat note...then decides to do nothing different for the rest of the record. At least I think so, I already forgot like half of this album.
What Stick Season (We'll All Be Here Forever) lacks in versatility, it makes up for it all in lyricism and storytelling.
fav tracks: Northern Attitude, Stick Season, All My Love, She Calls Me Back, Come Over, Orange Juice, Growing Sideways, Homesick, Dial Drunk, Paul Revere, No Complaints, Call Your Mom, The View Between Villages - Extended
least fav tracks: New Perspective, Everywhere Everything, Strawberry Wine, Your Needs My Needs, You're Gonna Go Far
It's not an out-of-body experience by any means, but it's just the thing that I've been looking for.
fav tracks: Late Night Talking, As It Was, Daylight, Little Freak, Matilda, Cinema, Keep Driving
least fav tracks: Grapejuice
I don't know man, I zoned out halfway through the third song. Modern Girl kinda slaps though.
I really was expecting more from Bleachers given that Jack Antonoff is one of my favorite producers of this generation. But what I got here was some generic copy-paste sentimental indie-pop drivel that could've mostly been whittled down to a few solid elements.
Short-lived, digestible, but powerful. Joji has returned to make us cry once again.
fav tracks: Glimpse of Us, Feeling Like The End, Die For You, NIGHT RIDER, YUKON (INTERLUDE), 1AM FREESTYLE
least fav tracks: Before The Day Is Over, BLAHBLAHBLAH DEMO
Someone please check on this girl like IS SHE OKAY AND WHY DID SHE MAKE ME NOT OKAY-
fav tracks: SKINNY, CHIHIRO, BIRDS OF A FEATHER, L'AMOUR DE MA VIE, BITTERSUITE, BLUE
least fav tracks: THE DINER
Went in expecting a lot more lore-driven songs, came out feeling like I was actually cared for. Loved every minute of this album. TOP brings their best and most bombastic production on this album and it makes up for Scaled and Icy way more than I expected.
fav tracks: Backslide, Routines In The Night, The Craving (Jenna's Version), Lavish, Navigating, Oldies Station, At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb
least fav tracks: Overcompensate, Snap Back
Alright, Grandpa, let's get you to bed now. 5 points for pity because at least it's not Tom Macdonald.
Back with a botched penis enlargement surgery and an even BIGGER stick in their ass.
Small dick music with small dick energy. You need pliers for that stick in your ass, Tommy boy?
It made me laugh so it gets a single point. Other than that, I just wanna pour bleach in my ears.
fav tracks: no

The way this song fills up my car speakers is unlike any other. Persona 11/15, lfgggggg
Glass Animals' fourth studio album has pretty solid moments with its production, but the growth is lost in the space that the album is centered around. Lyrically, there's not a lot of substance or things to take away from these songs. Every word in most of these songs is so on the nose that I can smell them (whatthehellishappening being the biggest offender in this, leaving nothing to the imagination and spoonfeeding us the concept). In general, these songs just feel a lot like you ... read more
Here it is. My favorite AJR album. The Maybe Man. I got a lot to say about this album. I turned 18 a little less than a month after this album came out. A lot has changed in my life. I started college, got my license, had love, lost love, made new music, found new friends.
And through all of that, this album stuck with me. So let's dive in.
Maybe Man serves as AJR's best album opener to date, point-blank period. The gradual build of the instrumental, the growing passion and the ... read more
