possibly my favorite album this year

i see what she was trying to do here. i really do. i think looking at it 22 years later, you can see how well executed the 2000’s pop sound was.

one think i think jewel is really strong at is writing choruses. this album has so many memorable choruses. run 2 u, intuition, u+me=love, yes u can, etc. all have great choruses. i think that for someone who before this was a folk singer-songwriter, she really knows how to write a good pop chorus.

now THIS is how you make a comeback. i’m calling it, 2025 is gonna be the year of twice.

i like almost everything about this album. i think the 6 songs have a really diverse sound yet still sound cohesive. Kpop has a habit of making one good song per mini album and then just throwing together 4-6 b sides that don’t have thought put into them, but you can tell that TWICE put so much thought and consideration into every song here.
