THIS is the true Weezer comeback. EWBAITE was good, but it doesn't hold a candle to White. Out of all the songs, I can think of only one thats just alright.
It has that great mixture of classic Weezer, mixed with modern, that I can comfortably say is my favorite sound from the band thus far. Doesn't hold a candle to blue or Pinkerton obviously. But if I were to recommend any Weezer album (yes, including blue) it'd be this one.
The first Weezer album since Malidroit to be above a 7/10. Barely any songs are skippable. Almost all of them slap.
Especially the Futurescope trilogy, which hits all the right boxes.
One of Weezer's greatest, that leaves you wanting more.
Truly a forgettable album. When people forget Malidroit, they block Hurley from their heads. Just a couple notable songs, but the rest drags on and feels the same.
No song is offensively bad, but almost none of them are particularly memorable. Despite being a Weezer fan, sometimes even I forget this album exists.
I don't have anything to say about this album. It's a fine album. Pork And Beans and TGMTEL are the highlights, but nothing else it's too mind blowing
From start to finish, this album manages to have Weezer's best and worst songs. Haunt You Everyday and Perfect Situation are some of Weezer's greatest songs. Yet every other song, including Beverly Hills, all manage to sound like horrible pop songs, trying to be big hits. Beverly Hills somehow managed that. What were the band thinking when they released this album?
This album is so unbelievably fine. It's not their best work by a LONG SHOT, but the good things off the album are really good. The songs never really go above B+ tier, but dip as low as D. Obviously, Hash Pipe and Island In The Sun are the highlights. But the rest is either good, or just meh.
Absolutely perfect album. No skips, no bad riffs, no bad anything. Perfect from beginning to end.
