prob the most controversial rap album of the 2020s.
and honestly thats pretty obvious. this album ended up influencing so much stuff that came after it, even tho the album itself isnt perfect. still, its probably the most influential rap album released in the 2020s.
ive been listening to this album for a long time now and i still like it a lot. yeah its definitely bloated, the tracklist is all over the place, but almost every song got its own vibe. u got hardcore punk inspired tracks like ... read more
lucy this is not it..
i mean, i like lucy a lot, but this is so weak. before this he dropped amy with that amazing cloud/digicore sound, and then followed it up with this boring trap project with egobreak, which doesnt show his talent at all. hes just a regular rapper on this ep and the production is way too basic for lucy.
their best since my world
i havent really written any bigger reviews on kpop before even tho i listen to it pretty actively, but i wanted to share my thoughts on this release. from what i understand kpop groups usually build whole eras around albums, like this one is basically the lemonade era, before there was the armageddon era and other groups do the same thing too. personally i like this era aesthetically a lot. i like the cover, the whole lemonade name and concept and everything around ... read more
even tho this is a really strong deluxe, i still think the og album is a lil better.
i listened to the original slayr album pretty close to release and back then it didnt really hit me that much. but coming back to it now i realized i actually like it way more than the deluxe. i mean this deluxe is still really good and got tracks like Brain Fog, Daytona and Brand New, but compared to the original they just dont hit the same for me. i dont really wanna spend too much time explaining my full ... read more
this song literally changed my life
erase your social is one of the most important lucy songs for me. i like all his music, but this one really made me understand why hes my favorite artist rn. the synths feel cold and kinda distant but still super catchy, and the muted drums make everything hit way harder.
but honestly my favorite part is the lyrics. lucy always had better writing than most artists in this scene, but here it feels way more personal. he talks about relationships, feeling ... read more
i really enjoyed listening to this for like the first 10 mins, but after that it got kinda repetitive. u get a drop and dont even get surprised anymore cuz youve already heard something similar before. imo a drop should feel deserved while listening to a song, and when they just spam it nonstop it gets tiring pretty fast
i started listening to lucy right when this tape dropped around may 18 2025 cuz my russian internet friend told me to check this out and i did and honestly i loved it from the first listen. what instantly got me was the fact ive never really heard rage sounding like THIS before. ive been into underground music since like 2022 listening to artists like midwxst, yung fazo, funeral, david shawty and others. for a long time my music taste kinda stayed around that type of music and russian trap that ... read more
Fête de la Vanille i listened to right after SISTERHOOD, not on release day but like half a year after Unmusique came out cuz i was really curious about lucy bedroque’s music. and this ep is honestly my favorite in general, not just from him. just like with SISTERHOOD it didnt hit me that hard at first but over time it really grew on me.
this ep is also inspired by the shibuya kei subgenre of jpop that was big in the early 90s. i already like jpop and some specific groups and ... read more
after listening to unmusique on release day, like half a year later i decided to check out SISTERHOOD and Fête de la Vanille. both of them didnt hit me as hard on first listen as unmusique cuz this kind of sound wasnt really my usual taste back then, but over time especially SISTERHOOD became like my second favorite project ever after unmusique.
this is lucy’s debut album and tbh im not even fully sure if lucy considers it a “real album” or not, but its still his first ... read more
one flow for the whole album bruh im crying 😭😭 and he said that hes the best in experimental hip hop?? he used to be perhaps
i came to the conclusion that i dont actually like dariacore. its just kinda choppy and i dont understand what im supposed to vibe with. its melodic and energetic at the same time and i cant focus on one of those. no disrespect but this genre is honestly kinda goofy and even rage got more potential for the younger generation imo. plus almost all dariacore stays on soundcloud cuz of uncleared samples so what kinda growth for the genre can we even talk about.. im listening to bleood and other ... read more
