Anybody who slandered this album will get dragged to hell by satan himself. I don’t make the rules.
Essential tracks: Tribute, Wonderboy, Fuck Her Gently
Greatest album of all time!!!!! I always cry and get sentimental whenever I listen to it!!!!! Really good!!!!! Everybody should listen!!!!! Everybody should worship it!!!!! Truly a gift from god!!!!!
Mandatory Fun is my second favorite Weird Al-bum, right under Straight Outta Lynwood. But it’s so close that I’ll probably change my mind and say this is the best record next week. Every single song on here is top tier!
Highlights: Foil, Word Crimes, Now That’s What I Call Polka, First World Problems, Tacky, Jackson Park Express
Essential tracks: Tacky, Jackson Park Express
Alpocalypse is a great album from start to finish. It’s not as great as other Weird Al-bums, like Bad Hair Day or In 3-D, but Alpocalypse is still pretty enjoyable. I’d say it’s about an A-tier album. It still gets the Unpunishable seal of approval.
Highlights: Preform This Way, TMZ, Polka Face, Craigslist, Party In The CIA, Stop Forwarding That Crap To Me
Essential tracks: Preform This Way, Skipper Dan
Straight Outta Lynwood is my number one favorite Weird Al-bum of all time. Pretty much every song is great! Not to mention that this record has White & Nerdy, Weird Al’s most popular song to date! From start to finish, I have a great time with every listen.
Highlights: White & Nerdy, I’ll Sue Ya, Polkarama, Virus Alert, Trapped In The Drive-Thru, Don’t Download This Song
Essential tracks: White & Nerdy, Don’t Download This Song
To be completely honest, Poodle Hat is a downgrade from the legendary Bad Hair Day and Running With Scissors. But that doesn’t mean it’s bad! In fact, it’s great! My only complaint is that the parodies, except Ode To A Superhero, feel aggressively early 2000’s.
Highlights: Couch Potato, Hardware Store, Angry White Boy Polka, Wanna B Ur Lovr, eBay, Genius In France
Essential tracks: eBay, Wanna B Ur Lovr
Running With Scissors is the second amazing Weird Al-bum in a row! Who on god’s green Earth doesn’t love the Saga Begins, All About the Pentiums, and Albuquerque? The only nitpick I can think of is that the Weird Al Show Theme feels like filler, but that’s a really small issue.
Highlights: The Saga Begins, Germs, Polka Power, Your Horoscope For Today, It’s All About The Pentiums, Albuquerque
Essential tracks: It’s All About The Pentiums, Albuquerque
Bad Hair Day is definitely one of Weird Al’s best album! Every single track is amazing! Not to mention that it’s the album with Amish Paradise on it. Also, the critics probably reviewed this record after their lobotomies.
Highlights: Amish Paradise, Everything You Know Is Wrong, The Alternative Polka, Gump, I Remember Larry, The Night Santa Went Crazy
Essential tracks: Amish Paradise, Everything You Know Is Wrong
Alapalooza gets way too much hate. Sure, it has some stinkers, but most of it is pretty good. I think that all of the Alapalooza haters should just sit down and listen to the album. You won’t regret it.
Highlights: Jurassic Park, Young Dumb & Ugly, Bedrock Anthem, Frank’s 2000” TV, Traffic Jam, Waffle King
Essential tracks: Jurassic Park, Frank’s 2000” TV
Off The Deep End is one of the first albums I’d recommend to Weird Al newcomers. Pretty much every song is great. Even Taco Grande, which is a pretty low-hanging fruit, is a really fun listen.
Highlights: Smells Like Nirvana, Trigger Happy, Polka Your Eyes Out, When I Was Your Age, The Plumbing Song, You Don’t Love Me Anymore
Essential tracks: Smells Like Nirvana, You Don’t Love Me Anymore
UHF is a downgrade from Even Worse, but it’s still pretty funny. Some of the tracks are stinkers, and I don’t really care about the interludes, but the other tracks are actually pretty good!
Highlights: Money For Nothing / Beverly Hillbillies, Attack Of The Radioactive Hamsters From A Planet Near Mars, The Hot Rocks Polka, UHF, Fun Zone, The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota
Essential tracks: Spam, The Biggest Ball Of Twine In Minnesota
Even Worse is a pretty great album! Definitely an upgrade from Dare To Be Stupid and Polka Party! Almost every song is a hilarious banger. Also, as a transgender chick, “Melanie” is where I got my name.
Highlights: Fat, You Make Me, I Think I’m A Clone Now, Melanie, Alimony, Good Old Days
Essential tracks: Fat, Melanie
In my opinion, Polka Party gets too much hate. Sure, it’s got some stinkers, but it’s also got some hilarious bangers. If I got to talk to the Polka Party haters, I’d tell them to sit down and just listen to the album. It’s actually pretty good.
Highlights: Living With A Hernia, Dog Eat Dog, One Of Those Days, Polka Party, Christmas At Ground Zero
Essential tracks: Living With A Hernia, Christmas At Ground Zero
I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but Dare To Be Stupid is a downgrade from In 3-D. It’s still got some good tracks, but it’s far from the best Weird Al-bum. Also, the originals carry this record.
Highlights: Like A Surgeon, Dare To Be Stupid, One More Minute, Slime Creatures From Outer Space, This Is The Life, Hooked On Polkas
Essential tracks: Like A Surgeon, Dare To Be Stupid
Weird Al In 3-D is a MAJOR improvement over Al’s debut Album. This record has pretty much NO stinkers. You know an album’s good when the worst song is a 7/10.
Highlights: Eat It, Midnight Star, I Lost On Jeopardy, Polkas On 45, Theme From Rocky XIII, Nature Trail To Hell
Essential tracks: Eat It, Nature Trail To Hell
Pretty solid for Weird Al’s debut album. It’s got a handful of stinkers, but most of it is pretty good. Despite all this, it’s the last album I’d record to Weird Al newcomers, because it sounds so different to every other Al-bum.
Highlights: Ricky, I Love Rocky Road, Happy Birthday, My Bologna, I’ll Be Mellow When I’m Dead
Essential tracks: I Love Rocky Road, Happy Birthday
I love this album! The whole album is full of tracks mixing hilarious comedy and legitimate bangers. Incredibad has some stinkers, but they’re clearly outshined by all the bangers.
Highlights: Jizz In My Pants, I’m On A Boat, Boombox, Like A Boss, Dreamgirl, Ras Trent, Dick In A Box, Natalie’s Rap, Incredibad
Turtleneck & Chain is a downgrade from Incredibad, but it’s still a HILARIOUS album! Pretty good for the Lonely Island’s weakest record.
Highlights: I Just Had Sex, Jack Sparrow, Rocky, Shy Ronnie 2, Motherlover, The Creep, Threw It On The Ground, No Homo
Don’t trust the album’s name, this album is definitely NOT wack! It’s full of hilarious tracks with the occasional good commentary.
Highlights: Go Kindergarten, YOLO, Spring Break Anthem, I Run NY, Three-Way (The Golden Rule), We Need Love, Perfect Saturday
I legitimately cry every time I hear this song. Mr Sunfish is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard.
