Words cannot properly describe the emotional and sonic landscape this project creates. Its so brilliantly intertwined with its themes of healing and anxiety that the album serves as a deep dive into the psyche as you just lay backwards staring at the ceiling. I saw a lot of hype for this album, and while it is nice at times I was just kinda zoned out and waiting for it to end
There could've been something here but most of the album feels like more of an idea that wasn't fully thought through than anything truly meaningful
The one thing you should expect from Sleep Token at this stage are very cinematic, blockbuster releases that attempt to tell a grand story. It's just a shame that despite all the effort put into this album it doesn't leave much of an impression. Behind all the grandiose moments and multiple genres is a decent, but ultimately forgettable album
This feels like the musical equivalent of a diary. Filled with contemplative and intimate moments but lacking direction and in the end feels like rambling. With that being said, the soundscape here is definitely solid
You know, for being a very bloated Drake & PND rnb album, this could've been a LOT worse
