I think we have to discuss the elephant in the room first. This sounds a lot like Future Nostalgia, but definitely in a good way.
Ava Max and Dua Lipa have been having the same kinda dance-pop vibe in their music. With Future Nostalgia, Dua claimed the upper hand by a large margin, but the second album of Ava Max ain’t so bad either. Yea it may not be as rich or emotional as Future Nostalgia, but regardless, Diamonds & Dancefloors raises the bar for other female pop artists.

I really loved the first two albums by Sam Smith but their third album Love Goes didn’t feel any special and so I went into this without any big expectations.
Album rollout started with ”Love Me More” which I liked. Nothing special, but nothing bad to say about it.
That ain’t the case for the other singles though. ”Unholy” didn’t ever catch with me, but I can definitely see why some people like it.

I (like many others) have been watching Jakey’s Youtube content for years but I never really bothered with his music. I tried, but those singles never got to me.
Even when ”Pine Barrens” was first released, I wasn’t really that interested in the upcoming album.
When ROMCOM finally actually dropped I kinda liked it. I have been listening it quite a lot ever since and it definitely has it’s moments.

Had heard her name few times before, but this album was the first time I really listened to her music.
And I actually like it. A lot.
Yeah it is one of many pop albums, but it’s so well done. Lyrics aren’t generic teenpop. You can really hear the feelings and thoughts behind the songs.
Each of the songs are different from each other and have many different moods to them.
